ํYour gifs are so beautiful. I love them! Can you show me how you colored and how you sharpen your gifs? If not, then that's fine but thanks anyway ^_^

Thank you! Sure, I already did a tutorial about sharpening here. So now about coloring… 

Coloring blueish scenes (like in Underworld) +PSD

1) I start with Levels

2) White gradient map, set it on Soft light mode, opacity around 30% (depends on scene)

3) THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. Now gif is very blue, so we have to reduce blue/cyan by adding Color balance.

4) Selene’s skin now looks very yellow and her lips and blood on her face are too purple, so we have to reduce them by adding Selective color and adjusting Yellows and Magentas

5) Add Curves

6) Brightness/Contrast

7) Vibrance

8) Selene’s skin is too yellow again, also the light became green, so we have to reduce it again by adding one more Selective color layer. 

And I always do that with every gif. Adjust Neutrals and Blacks (optional).

9) One more Levels layer

10) Optional. Add a little Contrast

11) And final step. One more Color Balance layer

Done! 

So, basically you have to remember that Color Balance is your #1 friend. When you need to change color/lighting of your gif, Color Balance is the most useful thing.

What are some good Divergent blogs to follow that you think will update regularly when Insurgent things start to ramp up?

hmm it's hard to tell because most of the really amazing blogs that I follow are in school! I will always recommend memoryserums because she is hella awesome and she would always be able to post updates before me even if I got there ten minutes after the update was released haha! 

I also recommend divergencedaily, hailshailene, sheonews, and beatriceprios
