Soo... Hailstorm huh? How would that ship look like hypothetically? Who would fall first? And how? Would Cole get Jealous? Would it also be a slow burn? Would Jesse and Cole have a rivaly until Pixal comes along (and then they find out they might secretly like each other?) Would the Ninja have a different Bet?

Hypothetically, either Jesse simply falls for Zane instead of Cole at the start, orrrrrr we complete ~the triangle~ and Jesse's anxious swag and stammering turn of phrase intrigues Zane to the point that he feels compelled to be everywhere and do everything with Jesse to try and understand him—which of course has Cole like ?????? (as he doesn't know if he's more upset about Zane preferring to spend time with someone else, or his own lack of opportunities to spend more time with Jesse, so. Have fun with that, Cole–)

Zane goes over to Jesse's house with the excuse of swapping recipes with Caroline but winds up in Jesse's room anyway and they talk about the books they read and Jesse fascinates Zane with a magic trick he cannot logically figure out and they brainstorm ideas for the Student Council without the peer pressure of everyone else and they grow closer as people tend to do—

Jesse's pretty sure that Zane has a crush on him and doesn't know what to do because Zane doesn't seem to have realized that himself but the attention's nice but pursuing it is going to ruin everything with Cole on both ends so he asks for help- and aforementioned friends are of no help whatsoever.

The only thing that changes in the bet is that Kai bets on Hailstorm to spite Jesse, meaning Mira's still Team Glacier and Jay/Antonia are still Team Aftershock. All of it is beyond Lloyd's comprehension.

Cole: Tch, what does Zane see in you anyway?? e-e

Jesse: I don't know??? I don't think I did anything but exist??!?!

Cole: I bet it's cuz you're all smart and talented and clever and cute and funny and NICE and you think you're all that, right?!?!?

But then Pixal shows up and Zane's immediately like "nope, that's who I want" so maybe whatever he felt for Jesse wasn't a deep passion or a even a crush or just passing infatuation but Jesse still feels a little sad at the sudden lessening of their friendship- and then there's Cole

Cole: How do I keep losing him like this?! Was I not enough?! ;w;

Jesse: There, there, it'll be okay

Cole: Thanks, Jess. Sheesh, at this rate maybe I should just date you instead

Named such because Jay is the Master of Lightning, Cole is the Master of Earth, and Zane is the Master of Ice. The name combines the elements: the hardness of the hail referring to Cole’s earth element, the storm aspect coming from Jay’s element, and the actual ice of the storm from Zane’s element.
