Flowers For Corey.

And the order is placed! Our signature floral arrangement is set to arrive at Corey’s resting place on Friday, March 10, 2017. The white roses were purchased in full by our official Give Corey a Star PayPal account. So thank you to those fans who continue to send in money periodically, it’s because of YOU that projects and gifts like these are possible. So thank you. Give yourselves a pat on the back. Good job, Haim Army!

This year our message to Corey is: 

“We won’t take you for granted, for our broken hearts can love you still. And no, we won't leave you abandoned, your soul will rise again, we know that it will.”

These are paraphrased lyrics from Beth Hart’s song, “Hiding Under Water”, a song we feel that offers a brief glimpse into Corey’s struggles while he was here on this earth. And this part of the song, more specifically, describes how us fans feel. Our promise, as it has always been, is to never forget his importance in the world, and to never take for granted just how special he truly was, for he surely left his mark. We all carry a piece of him, still, to this day. Because no measure of time will ever lessen his value to us. And it’s in his loss, we now seen the importance of staying close to our loved ones, because we never know exactly how much time we have left with them. This is what made this message seem perfect to have accompany our flowers to him. 

Jennifer notified Corey’s sister, Cari, about the flowers, so we’re hoping we get a photo of them at Corey’s side, to share with all of you! Fingers crossed.

Corey’s niece, Molly Rose, turns 7 on March 15th. So we wanted to send her a birthday card, wishing her all the best on her special day. 

It’s a bit early but, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOLLY! We cannot believe it’s been 7 years already, you’ve grown up so fast. And into such a beautiful young lady, who is surely a blessing from above. Enjoy your day. With Love, The Haim Army.

And, it’s sent!

Jennifer had a beyond brilliant idea to send Miss Judy a little pick-me-up package for this really tough day coming up, that included the following:

1. A lovely card from all of us Haim Army members, just so she knows she’s in our thoughts

2. A beautifully written letter

3. An original 8 by 10 canvas painting, that she painted inspired by Corey’s “California” artwork

“My favorite artwork of Corey’s is “California”, so I kind of wanted to take it and put my own spin on it, and this is the end result. An inverted version, appropriately titled “In Memory of Corey”, from my hands, to Judy’s heart. I’ve never been artistic like this, but it’s like he brought it out in me. So this is for him, may love hold an eternal light.” - Jennifer Shirley

Just beautiful, we surely hope this helps Judy on her toughest day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISS JUDY!

Corey’s mother, Judy, celebrates her birthday today. And as promised, here is the video that our very own, Samantha Merzel, put together with all our e-mail entries! 

Almost immediately, Jennifer writes on Twitter:

“I am so incredibly proud of the Haim Army right now! My girl, @djspookysam, did an AMAZING job with the video for Judy's birthday...”

“Guys, I can't even put it into words...I love you all very much! We are the legacy, and I'm damn proud of that fact. This is for Corey! XO”

“This video was just perfect, at the perfect time. Nothing better for her to see right now, than all the love and support for both her and her son, whom we all love dearly. Good job, Haim Army!”

April 16, 2016:

We received a message from Judy Haim thanking us for our string of letters for her son. We are told she plans to make a special trip up to see Corey, to take pictures of the letters with his memorial bench, and we couldn't be more grateful! 

She is so thankful, in fact, that she wants to personally thank every person involved, with a handwritten letter. It goes to show that even the smallest effort can really make all the difference to a still grieving family. 

Thank you to all that took time out to write Corey a message, Judy was so touched by every word. STAY TUNED because her message will be posted here very shortly.

But this is what it's all about guys, so continue to shine bright, Haim Army. Just remember that each one of us holds a power to change lives, and together, we are unstoppable. This is for Corey!
