2nd Day - Intermittent Fasting & Hair, Skin, Nails!
Day 2 is ok so far. I had a dentist appointment at 3:30 yesterday that put me right in the middle of Salvador traffic in the rain at 5:30. I had a HUGE fear I wouldn’t make it home in time to eat before my 7:00pm cut off. THIS is serious business when you fast. So, note to self, take a snack next time. I made it home and made myself a delicious chicken and salad with passion fruit juice (with stevia). This morning I got on the scales, since I’m a girl of instant gratification.. NADA! 😫 I know I’m expecting miracles the first day but it didn’t happen. I’m not one to give up, so this morning I patiently wait for 11am. Today I will resume my workouts to see if that will help as well but I’m not giving up. What did I notice different about today? I just feel different, more alert and awake. I also don’t feel so stressed as I normally do. I will blog about this crazy life later but maybe It’s just wishful thinking but I do believe the cell rejuvenation is really happening! WHY didn’t I hear about this before now? I have always been a HUGE believer in snacking and breakfast, maybe this new research will change my mind, we shall see.
Next I want to talk about my hair, skin and nails. I’m not here to sell you anything first of all, I just want to put you in the know of how to achieve beautiful hair, skin and nails after 50. For almost 1 year I have been taking Biotin 10,000mcg (link included to amazon) and 500mg of Vitamin C. I was skeptical for so long because it just wasn’t working, everything I read online said it won’t happen over night, so I was diligent. After 8 1/2 months of taking it every single day this happened: **
My hair is long and beautiful, I get compliments on it every single day, my nails are strong and hard as nails and my skin is feeling much better as well. My nails that you see in this picture have no gel or no acrylic just plain polish.
Tomorrow is another day.. I will talk about my husband and my visa journey and the life stresses it entails.
