Relatives/Friends: Mother and Father, who both remained on the Isle. Eldest brother left with the Tushui, has not had communication since. Does not have many friends outside of the Pandaren.
Description of Appearance & Personality: Haixiu is a very conservative Pandaren. She does not like flash and prefers simple robes to short shirts and short pants. She has a kind round face and black patches around her eyes. Her hair is always up with her long bangs framing her face. Naturally her she has white streaks in her hair, but she likes to change the color to match whatever she is wearing, as to not clash.
Haixiu is a Tushui Pandaren through and through. She takes her time making judgments, she finds rushing into situations reckless. She spends hours on end meditating and perfecting her skills. She sticks out like a sore thumb among those with the true Huojin personality. No one has yet accused her of being a Tushui, however. She lives terrified each day that someone will discover it and put her up for treason. Because she switched to the Huojin when leaving the Isle, it is unlikely that she would be prosecuted for any reason. She has been able to blend into the Horde easily and finds herself most comfortable with Tauren but also enjoys the Blood Elves.
History: Haixiu was originally a Tushui Pandaren. She was an ideal student and one of the top in her class when it came to healing with Shaman magic. However, she would always sneak off and watch the Huojin just fight. She was amazed at how they settled discussions and found herself always running to the aid of any that became injured.
Life on the Wandering Isle was a simple one. She spent most of her time deep in studies, while eyeing the Huojin from a far.
Haixiu "joined" the Huojin after the incidents on the Wandering Isle. After meeting with a one of the Horde prisoners, she heard of how torn apart the Horde was. How the lived in barren lands with physical scars from a world torn apart by war and threats Haixiu could have never dreamed of. It was then she decided that the Horde needed her help more than the Alliance ever could.
She threw on a heavy cloak and stole a traditional Huojin garb before sneaking onto one of the balloons leaving the Isle for Orgrimmar. As soon as the Pandaren were accepted, Haixiu knew she had made a mistake. She could not leave the Horde now, her people were oathed to them. She quickly made her way out of Durotar and to the Eastern Kingdoms. The forsaken terrified her but she was adamant about getting to Silvermoon in order to study the Dead Scar she had heard so much about. She spent weeks in the libraries and outside the city's walls examining the soils and trying to figure out what it was that prevented the earth from growing a thing.
When the war went into full swing, Haixiu made her way to Thunder Bluffs in order to assist the rebellion. She was never on the front lines and spent most of her time healing the injured and assisting in any and all medical needs they had. She remained in Thunder Bluffs since the rebellion began and has only recently returned to Silvermoon after completing some rehabilitation with those that were in the Siege.
While she has not made many friends in her time with the Horde, she has made a few acquaintances with a handful of people. She has a hard time connecting with those that are aggressive or rude.
She joined the Highguard on a whim, one of the only rash decisions she has made since leaving the Wandering Isle. She is trying to make a point to put her skills as a mender to good use with those that need it. With her studies of Azeroth, she has learned that the War is never really over and that something will be coming soon, so she might as well prepare herself.
Pastimes: Studying and reading are her two favorite things to do. While she enjoys eating and drinking like other Pandaren, she does not believe in excess like others. Haixiu also has a natural draw to the water and enjoys spending time swimming or being close to rivers and lakes.
Language: Orcish and Pandaren, she can speak a little Taur-ahe.
Ambitions in Phoenix Highguard: Haixiu is trying to be a better person. She is attempting to be more social and less of a loaner. While she has found her time in the Horde fulfilling, she has yet to feel fulfilled. She hopes that in joining the Highguard she can feel a sense of both pride of the Horde and in the end, make personal connections that can last a lifetime.
