hey december. it’s me, still getting on with life, still perpetually disappointing myself somehow. we ok.

today i lied to someone and said that i work for NASA.

after i said ‘lol jks but i would totally sign up as a test subject if NASA wanted to send something to some unknown region of space’, well the person told me ‘you must be really bored with your life’

to which i said, ‘nah never’

& that’s true. i’m never bored with my life. but i wish i could be. to be bored, that means i’d have nothing to do. that means i’d not want to do anything. i’d be so bored i’d just lie on the floor & think about how empty & lifeless everything is, think about how i am the whole world & its limit, or better, not even think about that - not even realise it. it would be like having more closed doors in my brain, more inaccessible chambers of thought that i don’t have to stew in. like i do now (there’s no such thing as overthinking for me).

anyway, no, i’m not bored with my life. to be bored sounds like i’d be having a surplus of pent-up energy that has nowhere to go, too much money to be spent. usually by the end of the day i’m so depleted i don’t have the energy to stay awake or be focused enough to watch mindless youtube reaction videos (lol), let alone write. to be bored sounds like i’d be rich with time. boredom sounds like a fantasy.
