Need to dc to make hal a girl dad so bad that he wasn't aware he even HAD an angry pre-teen and is now awkwardly, nervously, attempting to somehow bond.

I've been listning to Big Special's Black Dog / White Horse and going Hal? so I present it to you for your assessment 😅

Thought 1: The apocalypse imagery and the rage about people doing nothing to stop it perfectly encapsulates Hal's prince days to me. One of the only people who seemed to be politically savvy enough to see where everything was going, trying to do anything to stop things from getting worse, but no one is listening (looking at you, Hal's period as regent immediately getting all of the progress overthrown once Henry got better). (Hal as Cassandra au when).

Thought 2: Hal really suits angsty rock music that would play over a bad drug trip, and now I can only imagine that during the 80s au he's the Bowie acolyte who graduated from doing party drugs with Courtenay to the really hard stuff when he's alone, and he's coming apart at the seams like Withnail and punching judges.
