He hadn't thought much of the Half-Elf, in the beginning. And why should he have?
Halbrand had no time to concern himself with the other's distrustful looks or poorly hidden contempt.
And then, the Peredhel went and did something unexpected.

“I thought you didn't like me.” Halbrand replied, in a foul mood.
The herald considered him for a moment, eyes shimmering with some untold knowledge.
“You thought right. I don't trust you,” He said, apparently having decided that there was no point in lying, “But I've no reason to be unkind to you and so I won't be.”
