1. What book did you last finish? When was that?
the last book i finished was the expatriates by janice y.k. lee, which i finished on the august 18, and i remember that because that was the day i had to return it to the library if i didn’t want to get a late fee.
15. What book changed your life?
this was a tough one, but - to be very cliche - the books that got me like really into reading myself (my parents always read to me. a lot. like i was five when my dad read me the entire lord of the rings-series and also iliad-retellings. for real) was the harry potter books. first in swedish when my dad was reading me and my little brother the goblet of fire and my brother fell asleep and i just had to know what was happening so i read the entire thing myself. and then again later when the half-blood prince was released and i realised just how long i was gonna have to wait for it to be translated, so that got me into reading in english. so yeah, i probably have those books to thank for my love of reading and just how good my english is.
22. Pro or anti e-readers? Why?
like i get why they’re great for some people, but i’m so bad at reading from screens. i just like the feeling of a book in my hand.
42. Which was the best book you had to read in school?
i never really had to read like a specific book for school, it was mostly like ‘read a 18th century classic’ or ‘read a 19th century classic’ or ‘a 20th century classic’, or just read a book. so i read a lot in school that i liked because i got to pick it myself. but a couple of faves that i first read in a school setting was wuthering heights (by emily brontë) and mrs. dalloway (virginia woolf)
