[Private] Letting them stay. They wanted territory, but I refused.
And why the hell should I let them do that? They broke the truce. They should be dead. That was the deal.

Derek, I meet with my Mom for a short time this morning before I came by to grab somethings, so I'm leaving this in your room for you to read whenever. I'll be out for the morning, and then later this evening. I haven't read it as I didn't want to invade your privacy. She requested a reply, but said it wasn't mandatory.
Letter to: Derek Hale
From: Darlene Anderson (delivered through Blaine Anderson)
Derek,
First of all I want to say thank you. Thank you for taking care of my son when I, and my late husband, were unable to. Thank you for keep him safe and alive. And thank you for providing him a place to live and a family who care for him. Because I know that his pack are his family.
After a talk between Blaine and I, Blaine told me that he wishes to remain living there with the pack. Which I understand and I expected, and I also completely agree with. He tells me he will visit me regularly and I will leave his room untouched for whenever he decides to come home for a little while.
I understand that my husband turned out to be a huge problem for you guys, especially Blaine, for a while. And I want to personally apologize for his behavior. He was a good man- he really was. He just... went a little off his rocker in the end. I think he had a bad history with werewolves when he was younger when his own father was a hunter... and learning that his son had become one was enough to push him over the edge. And while I knew it was still our Blaine and not some monster, my husband did not. Not until, as Blaine told me, the end.
I want to thank you for saving Blaine's life by giving him the bite. I know that is something my husband would not agree with in the least, but-- my baby boy is still alive because of it, so I am thankful. And I know it was a hard decision on his behalf and I am so very, very proud of how strong he is.
Blaine is very strong willed and I think he will do your pack proud, if he hasn't already. He isn't used to being cared for so much and so dearly, so knowing him he'll latch onto it and defend it closely. I've seen him with people he loves, like that boy Kurt. And I know that he would do anything for him. And I suspect he'd be the same with his packmates. Which... might be a dangerous thing in some situations. For example, the fact that he was willing to offer himself up to my husband to draw him away from his packmates, and from Kurt.
Take good care of my son, Derek. I trust you will, you seem like a good man. Be the father figure he never had and Blaine will make you proud. I would love for you to reply to this, in letter or even in person. You, and the rest of your pack, are always welcome at my house. Anytime-- of course with the respectful call at least a few hours in advance.
