I cannot wait to be done with this last final

the years-long anxious question I always get when I have intense inflammation:

1. Is it COVID?

2. Am I really stressed out?

3. Do I need to give my body a break from my ADHD medication?

#ever since 2022… when I’m Very stressed out or overstimulated… my body gets this inflammation response #very much similar to if I’ve got a mild fever and my joints/muscles are all angry and warm #thankfully it often goes away by the next morning #and my adderall makes me likely to talk too much (give myself bad dry mouth) and Work Too Hard on projects #and my body responds by being like TAKE A BREAK #I’m grateful to have Metrix PCR tests and enough readers to test all of us at once #but it’s just… not financially feasible for me to test everyone super frequently when the tests are $25/each #so I’m just gonna hope I feel better in the morning #and if not… I’ll test myself #halfd3afbrainvomit

I’m so glad that, to my knowledge / PCR testing-ability, I haven’t had COVID since 2022

but the vigilance that’s necessary to protect myself can be so exhausting, and I really hope antiviral technology keeps improving over the next few years

sciatica pain sucks

#this is the worst it’s been in years #thankfully I’m not having lower back pain so I know it’s not associated wirh my old herniated disc #that this is just probs from walking too much in old sneakers…#halfd3afbrainvomit

it’s worrying to think about how not only it’d be expensive for me to have kids someday (IVF + surrogacy or adoption), I’d have to be as ‘stealth’ as possible for their safety

#because they would be harassed for having a trans parent / trans parents #similar to kids with gay or lesbian parents #spending 50k to have a kid and then stressing myself out to death about them / me experiencing a hate crime… :’)#halfd3afbrainvomit #I’m not sad about this in a ‘vent’ way but… it’s just a bit fucked to contemplate #I think my OCD would destroy me if I became a parent so it’s probably for the best…

my back is already getting mad at me for sitting down so much lately but I can’t exactly finish my last assignments of the semester any other way 😭
