(Azure-paladin) 29 for soulmates
Two souls // @azure-paladin // Open
#29: You can see every color except the color of your soulmate’s eyes until you meet them.
Why was he even required to take pilot classes? He was an engineer! He was here to learn how these machines worked and what made them fly! He wasn’t going to be piloting any of these death machines anyway! He wanted to build them. And make them bigger and better and safer for everyone. What was the point of taking flight lessons when you couldn’t tell mountains apart from the ocean anyway?
Everyone could not have gotten their vision complimented already. Wasn’t there laws against sending children with incomplete eyes into the sky? Even if those skies happened to be simulated? Hunk looked up at the machine. It was bouncing back and forth to simulate the movements of a real air craft. His stomach gurgled. He was not going to enjoy this. Not at all. The boy leaned to the side to peer forward to check how many there was left before it was his turn.
That was when he saw him. Some scrawny kid with a big forehead and spiky brown hair. And that was when the whole world went so bright with colours someone might just have switched on a headlight straight into Hunk’s eyes in a dark room. He clutched at his head and yelped.
(Max-tate-mizuhara) “Woah! [falls on top of Yuriy]”
Yuriy got only a single warning. A small cry before anotherbody came crashing down on to him. He really didn’t have anything to grip ontoo to stop himself from smashing into the ground, and so the mystery persontook them both out in the fall. Yuriy cursed in thick Russian. He had to blinka bit to shake off the hard fall. His eyes narrowed at the person above him… Blondhair? “Mizuhara? Get off, you’re heavy.” Yuriy pushed on the Blond man’sshoulders trying to get him off.
"I don't wanna die"
“If you don’t want to die, the best thing to do is hold strong.”
‘a moment of weakness’
20. My muse is sick and continues daily routine even though they seem on the verge of passing out.
Perhaps she had a fever, she couldn't really tell, all that she could tell was that her mind was foggy as she made her way slowly through the house; robe wrapped tightly around her to stave off the chill that threatened to sink into her very bones. Huddled over the stove as she worked on her daily chore of making breakfast, she wasn't sure when he'd come down but when she turned to put the last dish on the table, there he stood, watching her silently as he ate a piece of toast.
Nothing was said, she motioned for him to sit and set to cleaning up when his hand--left hand--came round to press against her forehead, partially covering her dazed blues. Any other time she might have pushed him away, but at that moment she didn't have the energy and simply let him do as he liked.
"You're sick." It was a statement, not a question.
"I'm fine." Her answer earned a scoff from him, worry tinging the edges of his voice as his hand fell away.
"You're running a fever, you should be in bed." This time she managed a half hearted laugh.
"Then you wouldn't have breakfast." Of course she knew that he'd have gladly given up the meal if it meant that she would feel better, but that wasn't the point. Unsure of what she'd meant to do, she turned too fast and found herself tipping out of her center of balance. He caught her as she caught herself on a chair and though she felt a small sense of accomplishment, he still gathered her easily into his arms to lift from the floor.
Before her sluggish mind could comprehend what was happening, he'd carried her up the stairs. Any protests that might have come died with what little energy she had; it didn't matter, he would have won anyway. Down the hall to her room, he set her gently on the bed and tucked her in before speaking again.
"Now get some sleep, me an' Granny will worry about cleaning up." She said nothing, her mind already sinking into unconsciousness before she could come up with something to say. Had she been awake, she might have found it adorable how he grinned and sighed; metal fingers running through his hair before he shook his head and headed out the door, closing it gently behind him.
(Azure-paladin) "W-where am I...?"

“You’re awake?” The light shifted and swung around somewhere above him. The limited light was cast up towards a sturdy wooden ceiling. The flame flickered and caught on as a lantern that was hanging from a beam was turned on. “Hang on. Try not to move. You were badly hurt.” A human showed up right at the corner of his eyes, carrying a candle. All around them the walls were rattling with the heavy rainfall and howling wind.
(Azure-Paladin) “They shot me out of the sky, like barbarians.”

“I know! I know!” He was rushing back and forth as he tossed up hay over the big blue dragon. “Now put your head down and hush!” He was doing his best to hide the dragon in this pile of hay that they definitely hadn’t crashed into out on the field. There was noises of horse hooves in the distance. The human looked around and then quickly stripped out of his flight gear and tossed it in between the dragon’s front paws before shoveling more hay over the creature and over the claw marks that had dug dirt out of the ground. “They’re coming!”
(Max-Tate-Mizuhara) “Leave me, save yourself!”
“Shut up, like hell I will.” Yuriy snatched up Max by thescruff of his shirt forcing him back on his feet. “We are getting out of this, now stop your fucking whining.” Yuriy took aim with one of the guns he stoleoff the guards and shot a lock on the door behind them. Forcing it to slamshut. That should buy them some time. Out of all the people that he thoughtwould come to his aid he never expected it to be this blonde idiot. What iswith the Bladebreakers and showing up every time Balkov did? Both were becominga pain in his ass. Yuriy shook off his irritation. “Get on your feet… The backexit shouldn’t be far. We should lose them once we are out in the woods. Theonly challenge then is not freezing to death before someone finds us.”
