17. favorite character design?
i have a pink haired character bias in design!!!!
the first characters i get attached to anywhere are always the pink haired first. someoka is one of the first characters i liked even before i like aki and gouenji. then i like tsunami, hori michiko, takanashi, even touko (whom i used to think have pink hair) and literally every pink characters across the series.
my 3rd team in vicro had 5 pink haired characters in it but i didn't screenshot the other pinkies. this is the only picture i can find of the team (bcs i dont ss a lot) before i rearranged the members
but my most favorite design-wise are these two:
i think sakura having a sakura patterned hair is just so adorable all the while keeping her hair neatly tied since she has about lived her life for gymnastics and has become part of getting ready in the morning regardless of her schedule. i also just adore this kind of hair style because it shows a lot of background and upbringing (very strict from how neat it is in her case, even the two lose hair beside her face being symmetrical states its intentional need to be different among peers) PLUS i love thick eyebrows that's close to being a dot!! not to mention her cute blush. WHEEE SAKURAAAAAA
i mentioned this in bsky before but daigo's and yamato's design having pink flowy long hair for antagonists who wants to perpetuate patriarchal rule is really so smart. and the way that their hair doesn't hide any part of their face says a lot about their assertive personalities as well as confidence. i cant find my ss of it but yamato's casual attire especially made me like him more than daigo but i like them both all the same. it is kind of interesting to me that daigo and yamato dress in opposites though despite yamato (more punk) wanting to follow his father (formal business attire).
i'll let you off with my top two since we're going to take forever here if you make me talk about the rest...
24. opinion on areori?
i did not finish ares so my opinions here probably wouldn't have much gravity. but this was something i wrote about it 2+ years ago if you're interested in reading i think it's nicer said than my current opinion of it now. which is:
my first ick is the inclusion of prior main characters that already had their character development. i dont think we need them here at all. i would have loved the new ones and eisei to have taken the stage but i don't think the people who created this liked them enough to let them be characters here. i think i'd let my bsky post say the rest for me:
i really always try to watch areori but the lack of love the writers have for inakuni makes it so hard. why make them your main team if you don't even see them as 3 dimensional characters. i can only love things that are given love by their creators. the staff here only treated them as characters to fill the quota who can only be silly. their pain are easily forgotten bcs the staff themselves don't want to dig any deeper to it or wants to think about it. the lack of anything but hype moments that eventually does nothing makes it so boring. not to mention the prevalent need to put older characters there when they're not going to do anything anyway. theyre just there to nostalgia bait. this isn't created with love of writing. or love of your own characters at the very least. the lack of passion really bothers me all the time.
at least there's norika.
and please dont even try going "here's a non-inakuni character you may be interested in" at me here. they made the choice to make them the main team. a conscious choice. they should have given them the love that comes with being the main team. otherwise, they should've chose haizaki's or nosaka's.
the fact that victory road did the exact opposite of this where they're only interested in three characters in their main team and then 0 interests in the other teams except for haru has still done it better because they didn't easily written off the characters' pain and took the time to apply reason to some of the silly actions do show that they learned from areori. by a little.
i have really strong opinions about areori's storytelling because i hate media that doesn't care about their own characters. but also sorry for the negativity sgsjdgs .. actually im not sure if you've read this bsky post actually dhsjdgd

HOLDS MY HEAD* I HAVE A LOT OF AUS... and they're posted in different places too!
but first, my all time favorite kind of au (answering the number 29 question of fave au) are role reversal aus!!! i usually read about them in the other fandoms but i've seen a few art in ina11 about it and they're really great!!! i think that's the au that gets to me so much as it shows how easily can someone change because of their environment and it's a really good way of showing how one really knows a character.
But now, I'm handing you my AUs!! Starting with my top 3 fave!
1. Magical Girls AU
this one is more accurately called the PPGZ AU that is a sapphic engoukidou story set in high school. this is my favorite au of mine because i poured a lot of my gender discovery and lesbian experiences on this. this entire thing is better explained in these two posts written 2 years ago: Introduction and More Info.
i added more details about it in bsky here + about anti hero DE kazemaru (princess morbucks of this story)!! and pinya made this kazemaru art with some of his design liberties in bsky too!
2. Kageyama Won AU
way better summarized in this post so better go here instead! basically, its premise is: What If Kageyama won? -> and with your design, kari!!!!
3. Hiroto and Reina Role Reversal AU!!!
thread of it in bsky (feb 09, 2025). this one is inspired by this game i'm playing that time where the woman is in the exact same situation as hiroto but ended up killing her foster father because she got sick of how much he wanted her to be like the daughter who died.
in this AU, it's hitomiko who died and reina is her replacement (her name is also hitomiko now) and the og hiroto is the one who lived (older than how hitomiko was canonically), tatsuya takes reina's place as second in command. the actual story takes place on the aftermath of the genesis match when the deed is done with only flashbacks of everything that happened before. this is about reina wrestling with the guilt of what she has done, being heralded as hero by adults, and being seen as a bloodthirsty murderer by old friends. it's a story about self forgiveness, identity, and reconciliation. reina is also DID here!! because i hc canon kiyama as DID too.

Immortals AU - with immortals, reincarnators, soulmates, breaking immortality, and an ongoing war between immortals. this is an engou and fukaze centered story with enkaze as soulmates. if you don't like polycules and/or qprs you better stay out of it. bsky link.
Season Managers KPDH AU - aki, haruna, natsumi, and fuyuka are demon hunters while the aliea girls are the saja girls!! tumblr link here!
Reality Show AU - just inazuma legend japan + managers living in the same house like those pandemic lockdown movies. bsky link. (Not to be confused with Kaleidoscope's Virtual Reality Show arc which is a combination of virtual reality and reality show)
Blessed AU - this is about monsters and superpowers and A LOT of mature subjects. i'll post about it when i'm ready to explain it.
Ranma 1/2 AU - au where everything is the same except gouenji and touko caught the ranma 1/2. self indulgent fun that is also about gender crisis. originally this is about endou but since he's very agnostic about gender i switched mcs.
Technically Kaleidoscope have it's own spin of an actor's au and again the reality show au but within a virtual reality... it's a lot to explain that i'll do so another time. the soul-bound concept is also like an animal companions au type of thing... but it's within the bounds of canon divergence... so—

I'm a Raimon fan of every generation!! The original, Raimon OB, Raimon Eleven Go... I was almost not of VicRo but thanks to Sigdo Mama, Hoshimura, and Haru I love them now too!!!
i think my last 100 posts speak for itself. i wake up in the morning thinking about holding coach aki's face and hand, thinking about committing multiple acts of violence on chairman gouenji, and thinking about cooking with these two to give to our lovely daughter raika on a daily basis. there's no question that i'd fly to the sun and back for these three. the word favorite is not enough to describe who they are to me. this is not ever a secret either. this is just facts. and that's everything that you have to know about this (don't look at all of my past posts).
2. least favorite character(s)?
i usually don't find myself hating a character because they're tools for a story to me created by a person with their own biases and experiences so even if i hate them them for what they did, i usually come around fast and drop the hate. HOWEVER, there are two characters that i currently cannot stop grinding my teeth about because their characters weren't created to be whole and out of love. they're just created to make up for a trope that they know people love.
i actually typed something really long for this which i ended up placing in a separate post because i really do not want that on you. because it's basically a rant and i can't subject you or anybody else to that. so what i'm going to do is say who these characters are and a link to the post...
the two characters i'm talking about are sakurazaki jouji and otome (forgot his first name) from victory road's story mode. but i only wrote about sakurazaki so far, i'll do otome next time. but my hate for otome, like sakurazaki's, has more to do with how he's handled as a character than it is about who he harmed because again, he's a literary tool for a story to me. not a living person who can make their own choices.

Thinking of a favorite is so hard but I'm really biased with the second Raimon vs Teikoku and Raimon vs Shin Teikoku... they just have the most meat of the story to me.
In go, I really love Raimon vs Kidokawa... that was showstopping... I rewatch that one more times than I can count.
A contender for a favorite is also Raimon vs Zeus!!!
