#halibut cheeks

Local fishing boat came into port straight from Alaska, and we always love them! I got some halibut cheeks (on the far right) and a couple whole coho salmon I've eviscerated for dinner tomorrow. Tonight, I fried up those cheeks and roasted some potatoes, cherry tomatoes, asparagus and parm, and made some dinner rolls!

Quoting our engineer: 'why do you always have to make such yummy food when we have to stuff our faces between sails?'

Because I keep forgetting that's what's gonna happen 😅

Dinner

If any of y'all internet people had had dinner with me you would be in heaven. Halibut cheeks saute'd in butter and shallots with fresh broccolini and a fresh toss salad with avocado and cucumber.

And better yet was desert, Fresh figs with a handmade chevre on fresh bread. Thank you pike place market :D

Tomorrow I will dump pictures on you if they turned out and more stories. My stomach is happy!

P.S. I use fresh 10,000 times to emphasize how fresh everything was and also there is a huge dog on my bed. Good night internet.
