marika taking from blood vs miquella giving of blood deleted scene
Elden Ring Art by @holyfool36
6th play through so far and I always stop to take a screenshot in the Haligtree
miquella in the realm of shadow, looking up to cup the scadu tree
miquella's grafting into the halig tree, looking up through the broken trunk to the spiraling rot canopy
halig tree leaves in the scadu chalice
have mercy on the spirited away shaman
stagnant water fountain with disembodied head at the halig tree
stagnant water kept in pots with small golden trees in enir ilim
how do you explain the lore without an unseen shaman genocide?
historically marika's power has come from absorbing her enemies and gaining their strengths, genetically even. she became radagon to have children with rennala.
if the radagon giant theory holds up, she absorbed a giant to win a war against giants.
we know that shaman were melded with hornsent, who were strong by nature. we know that marika went on to use their strength to obliterate them.
marika used her dog brother to absorb death for her.
one of her sons merged with the world snake.
i think that whatever she pulled from the parcel at the divinity gate was what was removed from placidusax by bayle, the missing 3rd head, who was her.
she married/blended with placidusax and was the missing third head that was liberated and brought to marika to rebirth as a new god at the divinity gate. she sucked the gold out of placidusax, like mercury, like gold gathering fungus, and then bounced.
she was the golden bird and offering her hair to the grandmother proves her liberation and resurrection. the erdtree is a promise of true resurrection and eternity to the tree worshipers, but the age of abundance quickly waned.
the bell like flowers on her head are likely connecting her to the halig tree, like the rot leaves in the scadu chalice.
the great rot tree existed where the halig tree is before miquella planted his tree inside it. the calla lillies were also there before miquella.
circular building in the treetops
the door crack at night vs morning. the sun is obviously not coming from two directions! the inside of the rotted tree seems to have the permanent sun condition that farum azula and enir ilim have confirmed.
i tried getting behind the door and fell through but there are two sun lights
