Does Leon have any pets? How does he feel about dogs/wolves?

Leon has a pet silithid named Crackers! Crackers is a cheerful, friendly bug-monster but his little spiky feet do tons of damage to the floors in the house. Leon also has a dread raven (now a fel raven) named Scooter, but ever since Scooter sullied @vembermarlon‘s raven and they nested together, Leon hasn’t seen a lot of him. He’s a druid, he doesn’t really need a mount, and Scooter was always kind of surly about their arrangement anyway.

He wouldn’t mind having a pup around the house, but it would feel kind of odd anytime he took the worgen shape around it. Mostly because he’d be able to understand the pup’s commentary better, rather than anything serious.

Dogs and wolves aren’t sentient (and if they are, something very wierd happened), so Leon isn’t really bothered by owning a dog. He’d object to trying to turn a wolf into a pet purely on common sense grounds--wild animals are not to be plucked out of the wild and turned into lapdogs unless you REALLY know what you’re doing, and even then, it shouldn’t happen unless the animal was going to die if you left it there. Not screwing up an ecosystem or breaking up a functioning family unit is the only reason he doesn’t have a zillion sporebats, honestly.

Hunters that go out and tame the most exotic critters they can find solely to use them as war animals tend to grate at his nerves.

I have no clue, tbh. I thought the lantern would allow the Forsaken to replenish the ranks. With new bodies. And without it, the ones that get destroyed or decrepit will just eventually waste away. Like endangered animals with no mates?

Do the Forsaken actually enjoy their state as undead, rotting things? I mean, is it pleasurable? Does the transition from living to undead warp their minds to the point that they like they way they’ve become?

I mean, I get being sad that they’ll just waste away, but that’s what mortal beings do: they die (hell, the Forsaken exist because they already died). The Forsaken aren’t a race or a species, they’re just walking dead humans or elves (probably the other races too, but they’re not depicted that way ingame). Death Knights are the same way, except their continued functionality depends on them causing literal pain to someone else.

There are mutated, undead, corrupted, and possessed beings all over Azeroth--from simple flora and fauna to Wild Gods--and we try to either cure them or cull them, not make more of them. The Forsaken don’t really strike me as any different.

I’m torn. I feel like Greymane has damned a whole “people.” But it’s Blizzard so I’m sure there will be some other answer.

I mean, in-character, Leon doesn’t have forgiveness to spare for them. OOC, I... personally don’t see it as damning them or even screwing them over, since they were undead before Sylvanas made her decision, and they remain undead after that decision. Unless there’s more explanation for what she was doing that what I’ve been able to see from Alliance side and googling the Horde side, Greymane’s response was about him vs. Sylvanas alone.

Unless that lantern thing was supposed to cure the undead of being undead, and not just make it possible for the val’kyr to keep raising them, it wasn’t that much of a setback for anybody except Sylvanas. Because she’s terrified of permanently dying. If it benefited the Forsaken, it seemed like a side perk rather than a driving purpose.

Please tell me if I’m wrong! I’d rather like to be, because I prefer moral quandaries to one-sided arguments.

What does Leon think of Greymane's actions given the gravity of its consequences to the Forsaken? (Spoilers?) Best revenge ever or ultra giant d-bag move?

Leon’s focus has been mainly on Val’Sharah and the Nightmare there, especially now that @vembermarlon has been tainted by it. Because of that, his awareness of events in Stormheim and re: the Alliance as a whole are based more on hearsay than accuracy, and he hasn’t tried all that hard to find anything out.

If he did know the particulars of what went down with Eyir, however... he would be fine with that. Leon is a very gentle man, but when he’s pushed hard enough, the gentleness doesn’t ease off; it stops dead, and all that’s left is anger. The Forsaken, as a group, can fuck themselves as far as he’s concerned; individually, there are probably okay Forsaken, but he’s never met one who wasn’t trying to kill him or wasn’t actively responsible for massive losses of life. 

His home was destroyed by the Forsaken, his brother was warped and tortured and murdered and brought back by the Forsaken, the rest of his family was used as test subjects by the Forsaken after they died. 

He is completely out of forgiveness for the Forsaken. Let Greymane destroy them, he doesn’t care.

The brunette promptly froze up on the spot when the ranger’s calloused hands clamped down on her shoulders. “Ow,” she mutters weakly, “It’s okay, i’m used to it, really. I sit still far too long when I’m studying sometimes.

When his fingers dig into those tense muscles, at first she actually gets more tense, unused to such close contact. As his thumbs hit specific knots, pushing and easing them loose, she actually moans. Mortified, she claps her hands over her mouth quickly and tries to squirm away from him.

“C’mon, Ath, it’s just me,” he coaxes, “If you can’t admit you’re a mere mortal around me, then who?” He pulls her chair out slightly.

“Never said I... was... super or anything,” she mutters, reluctantly letting herself fall forward onto her desk while Hal’s strong fingers continue to press along sore muscles. “Just... ow... “ she winces slightly, as he hits another hard knot. Someone hasn’t been sleeping quite right either, it seems.

“Just don’t want to ever look vulnerable,” Hal says with a knowing smirk. She rolls her eyes, and with a sigh, relents to the Ranger’s ministrations.

“Fine,” she admits, “When you’d get so smart, anyway?”

“Well, i have been hanging around you,” he teases.

What if: the horde had never been ousted from Dalaran? How would that impact Ath's life?

She likely wouldn’t be in Silvermoon, she’d’ve returned to the University after some time in Pandaria and become a Research Assistant /Junior Scholar in the Kirin Tor. That was her ‘Ideal Plan’ anyway, then, you know, eventually make the Council of Six. ;P
