Astronomy art inspired by the amazing work of Kysa Johnson!

As someone with a big fascination with space and astronomy, it was fated that I’d eventually end up including the theme in my artworks. Both these pieces take inspiration from Kysa Johnson and her methodical use of subatomic decay patterns to create beautiful works of art.

The first image is based of the omega nebula; I love the stunningly bright colours and beautiful patterns the nebulae display, which is what I tried to exaggerate on this image.

Cute little bunny I’ve been working on in my spare time! ☕️

I had a little art block so I asked a friend to prompt me; this is the result! I tried working with digital watercolours as real-life watercolours are my arch nemesis, I swear-… Hope you like it and thank you for viewing! :)

A gift for my mum!

Since Mother's Day is coming up soon in the US, I thought it'd be fitting to show something I made for my mum a while back!

My mum loves orange and purple flowers, which is why I chose said colours for the flowers! I love painting environments on 3D letters and might have to pick it up again in the summer.

This was originally a practice piece for my fine art mock exam. I used this opportunity to experiment with different tones and thickness of pens to add depth and texture. Also some helpful perspective practice as it can be something I struggle with!

Woodland creature puppet! 🌿🌳

Created this during a puppet-making workshop for my course. We went through the process step by step, from a wire armature to using milliput to segment the limbs.

Very intriguing process and I’m surprised with how well mine turned out! Their name is Aurora. :)

Another gift piece, but this time for my grandma!

This one was quite a bit harder to nail down because of trying to align the letters, so when I painted the landscape, it would all be concise and even. Super thrilled with how this turned out, though, and my grandma absolutely loved it when I gave it to her!
