I will unashamedly admit that Chris' storyline in season 6 of the charmed ones is one of the best representations of a time-travel arc done right. Time travelling kid builds unique relationships with all members of his family without them knowing who he is, their bond is good and believable even without the familiar factor. If he wasn't their kid, it was still strong and memorable. Time-traveller fucks up, he gives us clues but they are one bit too subtle, sometimes he is just as clueless as the rest of them (gideon thing) and is in no way all-knowing or all-powerful or anything. His many issues are prominent way before the reveal and it is honestly heartbraking to rewatch. The distrust is undestrandable, conflicts are great, they sre constantly on edge and are learning to trust him. And the reveals. All of them are good, fitting to the characters and giving room to everyone to explore their feeling on the matter. Dark future is just so... dark? And good? And has so much potential to explore, to speculate... Time-traveller has the best motive of saving the world but it is from his own brother and honestly what more could you possibly need? We don't trust him. We like him. We are annoyed by him and he is not the one to do all the job and find the bad guy but he is a hero because he is a messanger and honestly, just an amazing character.
