Cassidy works weird hours sometimes so she often cooks things and stocks the fridge. Everyone else just grabs what they want, when they want.
Two weeks had passed, her and Edward had been texting and talking a lot more but things picked up at the farm and at the bank so they hadn’t had a chance to get together in a while.
Then one night he texted and said to meet him on the docks and to wear appropriate shoes. A bit confused by the vague text, and insulted by the shoes comment she couldn’t help but also be intrigued by it. She met him and they got on the boat and headed out to the light house island.
She was expecting them to go up to the top of the light house, since the whole boat ride over all he talked about was the view from up top. Instead they took a path off to the left and headed to a mostly secluded beach were the tide was rolling in pretty rapidly. Behind the large swells of water she could see their houses and the farm. It was weird seeing it all from this side of the island, rather than looking out from the farm onto the light house.
“I needed to get out for a bit and get a new perspective, I figured you might as well.”
She looked over at him and smiled, this was what she needed, she just didn’t know it a half hour ago.
“Its so amazing seeing everything from over here. It all looks so far away.”
“Its nice to feel far away from it all for a few minutes.” He sat down on the sand, grabbing her hand and pulling her down beside him.
They sat together in silence for a while just watching the water come and go. Until it was getting pretty cold and she began to shiver.
“We should get back, you’re cold.” He said smiling weakly at her.
“You said to wear good shoes not to bring a jacket.” She joked with him, she didn’t mind the cold all that much.
“Sorry, I should have planned better.” He looked at her with slight guilt on his face.
“Eh it’s alright. It was worth this view.”
Twins and best friends, Lila and Declan do everything together.
Declan keeps having dreams about a monster under the bed. Cassidy is getting kind of tired of these 3 am wake up calls.
A nursery might not be the only upgrade this house needs. Standing to eat in the kitchen is a pain.
Zach brought Cassidy to the romance festival. She told him the story about how her mom fell in love with her step-dad after one of these events. She’d always wanted to go.
