Out of order (Ishimaru and Naegi)

I wake up at the same time as I always do, exactly the time Monobear would have intruded on my dreams back in the old days. There's no Monobear anymore; at least, not that has any control over what we do, but we've settled into a new sort of routine anyway. I roll out of my bedroll, taking care to set it into its default position as soon as I'm free of it. Little things like coming home to a neat campsite can make all the difference between rest and frustration.

One of the first things we did in the new world was find a source of relatively clean water, and that's where I head now. Walking around, though, I notice something... strange. As my morning grogginess fades away, I find it increasingly difficult to attribute it to mere disorientation.

Isn't the world a bit... sideways?

I look down at my feet and, dizzyingly, find that my left foot is lifted just slightly from what I see as the ground, but I can feel the concrete underneath it, and gravity pulls me right to where I stand. I'm sideways, but not in danger of falling over, I suppose. I try walking around, and though my position definitely changes, my orientation somehow does not. Looking at the ground while walking makes my head hurt.

In short, I've come askew.

I'm beginning to panic now. Am I suffering the effects of some strange drug? Is this a new kind of despair, that makes me question my reality? My worries overwhelm me, and I lay on the ground. To my dismay, even lying down, I am still off-center.

I really need someone to come by and tell me whether I'm dreaming or awake... as long as it isn't Ishimaru-kun. The sight of a slight offset in normalcy could break him entirely, probably.

Chiaki drowsily wraps her hands around the other, while yawning at the same time. It’s not something she wanted to admit, but she’s completely unconscious and doesn’t even know what she’s been doing herself. Not only was her vision a total mess, she couldn’t speak properly as well. Single words coming out of her mouth weren’t understandable in the least. The gamer wasn’t able to do anything but fall… on her back; peacefully sleeping on the floor.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru would then have the worst night of his entire life. He would never speak of it to anyone. He could never speak of it to anyone.
