Still not sure what to nickname my more spooky flavored Christmas (Cryptmas? Cryptidmas?), but it's definitly on brand shfshfsh! There are certainly enough ghost stories, monster-filled folktales and seasonally appropriate horror movies around this time of year to rival Halloween, so a blending of themes -in a lighthearted way- seems natural! ;)

I’ve been doing alright! Been working on getting my creative confidence back now that my motivation to make things has finally really started to return! Lots of little proof-of-concept experimental things, usually using materials & tools NOT as intended lol, to think about how I want to approach future projects. Some of it’s for cosplay, but some of it’s been for fucked-up little creature sculptures & dolls I’ve been planning for a while. It’s been fun! A bunch of fucking-around and finding-out jfjfjdj!

I never thought of giving 57 gold, or incorporating it into his look, but I have to say: it looks so nice!!! And come to think of it, it makes sense that he wouldn't stand for anything else... it's like having a peek into your mind & it's many great ideas!!

Originally I had intended to make 57’s cyborg-bits look more like copper or dark brass (since you often give him reds as accents & both can be orange-y or red metals), but the watercolors I was using started to look more golden and yeah- it sorta fit the regal air he puts on. He has a fallen-god/mad-king quality about him and anyone who wears that dramatic of a coat has some posh tastes. ;)

Your lads have such great designs and they were fun to tinker with!

#I half-considered digitally adjusting the metal to be steel-colored like 57’s source but I liked him being in all red/warm colors-#- while Anim was all in blue/cool colors to contrast against eachother - at least for the two paintings #When I get a little more confident drawing people I need to try drawing them again #Anim deserves a piece just showcasing him #Halloweenedition
