Axel Olson (Oct. 22, 1899 - 1986) was a Swedish Surrealist painter, associated with several artists’ groups, such as De Unga and Halmstadgruppen. He had studied extensively in Germany before the Nazi take-over, but after the war he turned to French inspirations instead.
