Those lyrics have so much meaning now. . I lost my longest childhood friend to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy just last year, he was only 27. The End was released just two days after his passing .. a song i will forever hold so dear because it let me see into his world through the eyes of another person. It was like the song was written to him, and im sure to so many others... relatable to the people who don't even know how to relate. Grateful for @tiredandlonelymuse for the world they lead you into, showing you perspectives you couldn't even imagine.
His name was Mark McLeod, he had the funniest (and darkest) sense of humor, he could light up any room with his presence. He was so lost and confused and sad about the hand he had been dealt but it never stopped him from trying to make other people's lives easier. He wasnt just a friend, he was family and i just need halsey to know how much i appreciate their strength, their desire to tell their story to help others and their courage to tell it in the first place. Forever a fan of you and everything you stand for @tiredandlonelymuse
