Halstead Halloween headcanons you say??
When baby Halstead sister was little Jay and Will dressed up as Peter Pan, Captain Hook and little sister was tinkerbell and the neighbors loved it!
They all tried to do some sort of theme after that. Stuff like Hockey players, Scooby Gang, and the works. Little Mermaid was sissies favorite because Jay was Flounder and Will was Scuttle.
I love this! I feel this would only be if they were close in age and if they were further apart in age (think the boys are in hs and sister is an oopsie baby, so she’s way younger), it would be a little different.
For example, she might be tinkerbell and say mama Halstead and pat Halstead are both working so the boys have to take her trick or treating. She pouts so long that they finally agree to put on somewhat of a costume. Aka, Will takes a pirate hat from her dress up box to be Hook and Jay makes a Peter Pan hat out of construction paper that takes him 10 mins to make. Then, they take her trick or treating, let her eat as much candy as she wants and then she has a sugar crash by 8 pm…at which time the boys raid her candy.
Then, Mama Halstead comes home around 9 before Pat Halstead does and sees that Halstead sister’s candy basket is practically empty and wrappers are strewn out on the coffee table in front of the boys where they’re watching a horror movie.
And then, instead of giving Will and Jay some of the Halloween candy she had bought after work at the dollar store, they don’t get any because they already practically devoured everything in your basket.
So, the next year when Will is at med school and Jay gets stuck taking you trick or treating, he only eats a few pieces of your candy.
And, it isn’t until Jay comes home from his first tour in mid-October and Will is still away at med school and Jay asks if he needs to take you trick or treating again that Mama Halstead tells him he doesn’t need to. Then, she proceeds to tell Jay that the only reason they picked up shifts that night when both boys were in high school was so that they’d take you so that Will and Jay didn’t go to Halloween parties and get into trouble.
