NOTE: This set of short films was programmed by yours truly, the Artistic Director for VFF 2021. The films, in the order they are presented:
My Father’s Truck (2013, Brazil/Vietnam; dir. Mauricio Osaki)
Hiếu (2018, United States; dir. Richard Van)
Chez Moi (My Home) (2014, France; dir. Phuong Mai Nguyen)
Like Mother, Like Daughter (2018, United States; dir. Kady Le)
The Anniversary (2003, United States; dir. Ham Tran)
Walk Run Cha-Cha (2019, United States; dir. Laura Nix)
The runtime is approximately 118 minutes and the package runs the gamut of filmmaking styles. You can also see me speak briefly at the beginning and end of a panel discussion that features three of the above filmmakers.
And yes, it’s free - donations encouraged though!
