Final Symphony
So~~~ as I screamed out loud here a few days ago, I went to the Final Symphony concert in Wuppertal yesterday. Here have some pictures and impressions!
It was quite interesting to see that some people came in full evening attire, some came in normal clothes. (I was wearing semi-formal clothes) And there were people from lots of different countries! Like from the Netherlands, France, Italy... And the MC said there was even someone from Brasil! Just... wow!
And here is the proof that I really, REALLY met Uematsu and Hamauzu! I had the AC soundtrack booklet and my friends FFIII booklet signed (Sh... it's still a secret ;) I just hope she doesn't follow my blog XD) by Uematsu and my pamphlet by both of them owo Both had a smile on their face when I asked them to sign my stuff in Japanese XD And Hamauzu shook hands with everyone owo We were kinda late though, we got our autographs like 10 minutes before end. Many people didn't even have the chance, so I guess I'm really lucky owo My brother bought Symphonic Fantasies and had it signed by both owo
This is the concert hall~ Our row was the fourth from the back but hey, at least we got tickets :'D This ambience was really fitting in my opinion, better than some modern concert hall at least with the organ in the back and the paintings on the ceiling and the chandeliers and everything... It had some fairytale air owo
A~nd the orchestra!
And a picture of a SIGNED! (I'm sorry) pamphlet. My brother loved the design to death XD While waiting he was like "Where do we get those pamphlets?!" all the time, it was so cute X3
And the programme! It was stunning! Words can't describe what I was feeling! You could feel Kefka's insanity, the souls of Spira, the heartbeat of danger approaching during the Nibelheim Incident, the fireworks, the lifestream that filled your heart and soul! Not even a minute after the last chord faded everyone was up on their feet. And we got TWO encores!
(Ah~ this turned out so bad...)
And finally, frm left to right: The (cute) MC (with his funny anecdotes) Fechner (I forgot his first name), the arranger Jonne Valtoten, the pianist Benyamin Nuss, the conductor (whose name I forgot), Masashi Hamauzu and Nobuo Uematsu.
Remember how I said a friend laughed at me when I told him I was going to a video game concert? I'm really glad how everyone yesterday took it seriously (Ok, everyone either payed or was payed but still!)! The MC said if we want more, we should demand for more. Even if it's another organizer, we should just ask because it's really great music! (And it felt like he was not really knowing what he was talking about when he told us about the single pieces ;))
Anyway, I hope I can go to such a great concert again someday!
Sazh's Theme - Masashi Hamauzu
I don't know why, but I really liked this character in the game. I didn't even like the game all that much haha, but this theme suits him.
Giant || Imeruat (Masashi Hamauzu & Mina)
Masashi Hamauzu || Winterhof

PIANO PRACTICE PROCRASTINATION TIME
Masashi Hamauzu || Final Fantasy XIII ~The Promise~
I'm just gonna gush about how perfect the FFXIII OST is as music and how I wish the game (which is great and I do like it) was as complete and epic as I'd imagined it would be having listened to the soundtrack for months before it came out over here hahaha *crying inside, and outside*
