Dear Tumblr,
My name is Ashleigh. I am a 24 year old plus sized actress and performer based in London, England. For most of my life I have struggled to find self acceptance and I have struggled finding acting work because of the way I look. Tired of the crash dieting, self loathing and constantly feeling creatively unfulfilled, in February I found out about a beauty and talent pageant in London for fat people called Hamburger Queen. I entered myself into the competition, got through my heat into the final and I eventually won the competition last Thursday. My main aim for entering was to prove that although I'm a big girl, I can dance, look beautiful, be funny and entertain people. It was one of the best things I have EVER done, my confidence has doubled, I'm learning to love who I am and I am excited to begin my 2013 rein as Hamburger Queen.
