Tbh I saw an screenshot of Hamegg like..... Idk maybe 3 months, I think it was from the Kimba's 1997 movie, and it took me by surprise that he also was in Astro Boy cause I swear never saw him on the CD player I had when I was like 4---.

Anyway, I'm starting to get into Astro Boy once again in my life lmao-.

I read hyotan komako.

This is a humorous comedy about Komako, who comes to Tokyo from Antarctica and cheerfully navigates the civilized city.

The film features hameggs reminiscent of the serpent that tempted Eve, supporting the portrayal of Komako as a descendant of Eve, as well as Sanpei (三平、the monster) playing the role of Adam, and the story of Gorigo, who once showed Eve an apple to propose marriage.

In the end, civilization is inferior to you. You understand, right? I think Sanpei's line, "In the end, civilization is… inferior to you. Do you understand?", symbolizes this work.

This story has a black border around the edges of almost every panel, which reminded me of old film reels.

I wanted to revisit this old Ham Egg from 2016 since it’ll turn 10(!!?) this year.

At the time I wasn’t really happy because I didn’t think I captured him correctly. I still don’t think it’s totally right but I wanted to filter him through “my style” at least a little 🤷🏻🍳
