This stereoview has unfortunately been damaged over time, but in it we can still make out a woman comforting a baby in a carriage, along with several men, one of whom is probably the dipper boy for the spring.
The Hamilton Spring stood behind the Congress Hall hotel, at the corner of Spring and Putnam streets, and originally included a bath house, though later the water was only used for drinking.
