also although the japanese government and military did/believes all of that, you cant deny that the civilians that were annihilated by the atomic bombs weren't victims. also the US interred japanese americans in camps just for being japanese

this is a bit off topic but whenever i think about it, it gets me so upset

i had no idea about the japanese imprisonment camps until 11th grade

like a year and a half ago

it was not mentioned not even once in any of my years of schooling until second semester of my junior year

and this shit wasn't like hundreds of years ago, how didnt i hear about it outside of school??

and then it was only talked about it in my history class for like... three lessons. not even a half a unit.

japan went to many asian countries and occupied them and it was literally terrible and there are still people in japan who believe the atrocities commited during WWII "helped" those "savage" countries its rly awful
