Machi perks up from the spot she had fallen after training had ceased at the sound of her teacher returning. Her muscles ached but that was quickly forgotten as she jumped from her spot on the concrete, fast as a whip.
“Ham??” While trying to jump up twice her height to reach the plate the thunder god was holding, her stomach growled and the rest of her body slowly remembered it was aching. “Yes, um, please?”

Thor and Machi
Thor and Machi haven’t met quite directly in rp but here’s how I think it’ll probably end up going! Machi is still young and rash, I think she’ll value him as an excellent teacher! Not just for moves and sparring but how to be a thoughtful warrior.
They’ll be good eggs, I’m sure of it.
QoN and Thor
He seems like a tasty treat and he’s been so beaten down by the world, she’s tempted to try and slither her way into him. But patience… patience. It has to be at the right time and in the right way. She won’t barge in as a big bad, she’s going to pick her battles carefully with this God of Thunder.
Your muse sees mine being sold in a brutal slaver’s market. What is their reaction?
“This is Agent Scarlet Maximoff, A.K.A. The Scarlet Witchie reporting on the incident on Planet Hebrus. The drop mission had gone well on the north end of the planet, but after a skirmish on our way back the ship, the team was separated. Neutralizing my own opponent as quickly as possible, I reconnected with Nox at the ship, but Thor was still missing.
It wasn’t until the next morning one of the locals directed us to a slave auction. I’m not aware of all the details, but I guess Thor was overpowered, or knocked out or something during his end of the struggle. One thing led to another I guess, and he was being sold like he was some prized item. Sick right?
Anywho, Nox and I got into a bidding war over him with a few local guys until we won. As soon as we were taken back to claim Thor and make our payment, Nox managed to steal the controller to his power-inhibiting collar and we bolted. The three of us and the ship took a bit of damage on the way out, but as you can see, we made it out alright.
For now, it seems that Thor can’t stray too far from whoever has the controller, so he’s stuck at my place until we figure out how to get that thing off of him. I’ll check back in once I get it figured out.
This is Agent Maximoff signing off.”
Having sent the video report off, she leaned back into her chair and sighed. Ever since Marvel died, the only other men she’d had in her house were family and now Thor was sitting downstairs on her couch. It was a little weird for her, but the girls were plenty excited. The rambunctious kindergarteners were pulling out every toy, every item of clothing and every trick to show off for the Asgardian prince.
Hurrying down the stairs she picked up Billie as she ran past and swung the shrieking five year old over her shoulder. The downstairs had been pristine when she came home this morning. Now it looked like a warzone littered with pink, glittery scarves, tutus and plastic dinosaurs. In the living room, Tammie had perched on the couch beside Thor, completely enchanted by his long, blonde tresses.
“Sorry about the mess.” she sighed, setting Billie down on a barbie-free patch of floor. “We don’t get company often.”
“How long are you staying Thor?” Billie chirped, bouncing up and down, “Are you sleeping over? You can sleep in my bed! I can share with Tammie!” The little blonde shot her sister a dirty look for volunteering her for such a thing. Springing to her feet, she leaped at her sister and snagged her into a headlock.
“No way! You drool when you sleep!” she screeched. Snatching Tammie’s arm, Scarlet pried her off Billie and quickly picked her up. The last thing she needed was her twins brawling amongst all the chaos too.
“Well as kind as your offer is young miss, I do not think I would fit in your bed.” Thor said with a small smile. That small crinkle in his brow made Scar worry. Hopefully he wouldn’t be too uncomfortable with all this.
“Girls, I need you to stop fighting and clean up your things.” Scar commanded, “Then you two head to bed. I’ll worry about finding Thor a place to sleep. Now don’t bother the poor man, alright? He and mommy had a pretty crazy time while we were gone.” Placing Tammie back on the ground, she waved the two girls out of the room, picking up armfuls of toys and tossing them up the stairs after them. “Work hard and fast and I might come upstairs to read you a story.”
The two gasps and the sound of small feet stampeding upstairs were enough to let her relax a little. They’d be kept busy and working for a good fifteen minutes at least. That should be more than enough time for her to get sleeping arrangements made.
“Sorry about all this Thor. I’ll try to get all this figured out as soon as possible.” she sighed, flopping down unceremoniously into the armchair adjacent to him. “I’ll try and make you as comfortable as possible in the meantime. You can take my room while you’re here. I can crash down here on the couch.” Wait.. are the sheets clean? Is the laundry all put away? Shit.
“Are you sure you are willing to give up your bed for me?” he asked, tugging at the collar uncomfortably. The sooner this thing was off, the better. “I do not wish to impose--”
“Thor honey, it’s fine. I can sleep literally anywhere.” she said with a smile, “It’s no trouble.” Settled down for no more than sixty seconds, Scar was back on her feet and headed for the stairs. It had been years since a man had seen her room and there was no way in hell she was going to let the God of Thunder see it in any sort of disarray. There had been more than enough embarrassing encounters between the two of them over the years, she was sure that one more might be the death of her.
“Let me just grab some fresh sheets, then we’ll get you settled.”
It had been three days. Meg Stark and the bots were off at some conference or whatever and she couldn’t get a hold of Ant Queen. No one knew how to get the collar off. Scar could always use her powers to get it off somehow, but she was terrified of accidentally blowing his head off in the process. That was the last thing she wanted to see happen.
Thankfully her temporary tenant had been surprisingly patient with her and her children. Billie and Tammie were happy to have a playmate they could beat up on, and Thor seemed more than willing to spend time with the pint-sized powerhouses while Scar studied some other way to free him. Between hours of poring over mystic text, trying to find a solution, she’d sneak downstairs and catch the three of them outside having a blast.
Today it looked like Billie was playing damsel in distress up in the treehouse, decked out in every piece of costume jewelry that she owned. Tammie, dressed in a black leotard, donned a pair of yellow, rubber gloves and a red towel as a cape as she charged at Thor. Quietly cracking the kitchen window open, Scar just had to listen in on the fun.
“Don’t worry princess! I’ll save you from the smelly frost giant!” the little blonde declared, throwing her arms and legs around Thor’s leg. Holding his arms over his head, he let out a growl and tromped around the yard, lifting Tammie as if she were as light as a dry leaf. Shrieking with laughter, Tammie clung to his calf with all her strength.
“The princess is mine!” he roared, unable to hold back a smile. “You will have to try harder than that if you want her back young hero!” That did it. Setting her jaw and narrowing her eyes, Tammie released her hold on Thor and somersaulted backwards. Springing to her feet, she charged Thor and headbutted him in the thigh while letting out a savage warcry.
In a dramatic fashion, the thunder god collapsed on the ground and rolled, howling in mock pain. Little Tammie was relentless though. She wasn’t going to let it end there. Leaping on top of him, she sat on his chest and beat wildly at it, cackling as she did so.
“No! Stop!” Thor pleaded, “You are simply too strong for me! You have won!” Folding her arms and giving him a crooked grin, she wrinkled her nose cutely. Then, without warning he flung his arms around her and hugged her tight to his chest. There was a chorus of laughter and shrieks from the trio.
“Now I have you both!” he declared, “Two little princesses to be my friends.” It was such a surreal and tender moment. Closing the window and the curtains, Scar turned and heaved a sigh. How much had her girls missed out on already not having a consistent male influence in their lives? Sure they had Uncle Pietro and Grandpa Erik, but… they weren’t around often enough.
Banishing those thoughts from her head, she ran back upstairs to her office to cram in more research. The longer he stayed, the harder it would be on her girls when time finally came for him to leave.
Two more days passed and she had finally found it. Dozens of pots of coffee, at least 3 32 packs of Mountain Dew and seven days of studying, and she had finally found it. It was a simple spell, and it wouldn’t take long at all to finally get the collar off of Thor. After a couple of practice runs on some empty soda cans, she got up from her office chair, joints popping and creaking. Note to self: don’t sit stationary for so long anymore.
Feeling lethargic and sore, she plodded down the hall to her bedroom to see if Thor was there. Pausing for a moment, she could hear his voice softly at the other end of the hall in the girls’ room. Tiptoeing to the doorway, the door barely cracked, she peeked in to see what they were up to now. Tammie, half asleep and bleary eyed was sprawled across her bed on top of the covers, while Billie was cuddled up at the foot of her bed, next to Thor.
“--The prince was very sad to see what had become of his brother.” he said softly, his eyes sad and distant. “After he found out he was a frost giant, his brother’s heart had become hard and frozen like ice. All the prince ever wanted was to see his heart melt, so that they could become friends again.” This particular bedtime story had hit very close to home. Feeling a twinge of pity for Thor, Scar listened on.
“Thor?” Billie yawned, patting him gently on the arm.
“Yes little one?”
“I know what would melt the Frost Prince’s heart.” she said very matter of factly. Eyes still clouded over with that sadness, he smiled at the small, dark-haired girl.
“Now what could that be?”
“A nice warm hug.” she said, wrapping her tiny arms as far around his waist as she could. Watching Thor’s expression change to a most sincere smile, Scar could feel her own heart melt. Finally, she pushed the door open and greeted the two with a smile.
“Is Thor telling you a bedtime story cutiepie?” she asked with a sugary sweet voice, as she moved to tuck Tammie under her covers. Nodding sleepily, Billie yawned again and slumped further down against Thor. “Why don’t you tell him ‘thank you’ and say ‘goodnight’ honey. You look exhausted and you’ve got school tomorrow morning.”
Nodding, she did as she was told and planted a quick kiss on Thor’s cheek before promptly falling against her pillows.Once both girls were tucked nicely in bed, the two adults crept quietly back into the hallway and shut the door behind them.
“That was awfully sweet of you to do.” she said quickly, brushing her limp, tangled curls behind her ear. Oh god, when was the last time I showered? Thankfully the god’s mind was someplace else. It wasn’t easy having a sociopath for a brother it seemed.
“Well it is difficult to say no to such dear little children.” he said, giving her a smile.
“It is. It really is.” she laughed, “But I have good news for you. I finally found a spell I can perform to bust you out of that collar.” Snapping out of his Loki-centric funk for a moment, he flashed her a grin and heaved a sigh of relief.
“By the nine, that is good news.” he said, clapping a hand on her shoulder. Wincing slightly, she nodded and beckoned for him to follow. In the office, she had marked up a crude spell circle using masking tape. It wasn’t pretty, but it would be easier to clean up when all was said and done. Gently guiding him to the center of the circle, she stepped outside of it and plopped down cross-legged on the floor.
“Alrighty…” she sighed, “You’re not wearing any jewelry or any other metal thing you might miss, are you?” Pausing for a moment, he checked the pockets of the sweatpants she had lent him and patted down his shirt. At least she had kept some of Cory’s clothes around. She knew they’d come in handy some day.
“I am not.” he confirmed, “I am completely metal-free as of this moment.” Nodding, she took a deep breath and let her eyes fall shut. I really hope I don’t screw this up. That would be more than embarrassing. Beginning the incantation, she stumbled over the words a little, but as she repeated it, she became more confident. Feeling a slight tingling sensation in her fingertips and in her head, she peeled one eye open to sneak a peek.
The metal had begun to rust and corrode away at an alarming rate. Opening both eyes, she continued the chant until there was nothing left but a pile of red dust at Thor’s feet. Beaming from ear to ear, she got to her feet a little less than gracefully and began to fuss over him. Dusting away the rust from his shoulders she giggled.
“Oh my gosh, it actually worked!” she said, “You’re free to go!” Rubbing his neck, he hummed contentedly, glad to be rid of that cumbersome piece of junk. Now he could finally reach that itch that had been driving him insane for the past week.
“Scarlet, I cannot thank you enough for all that you’ve done.” he said earnestly, “I shall hate to leave you and your daughters in the morning though. You have provided excellent company to me.” There was a small pang deep in her stomach. He’d hate to go? The girls were going to be devastated to see him go.
“Well you can always come back and visit, right?” she reassured him, “I know the twins would be more than happy to see you again.”
“Of course Scarlet.” he said, “Of course.”
Meanwhile, in the Mirror!verse, in a tent on the borders of Vanaheim, Thor looks around, utterly dazed. It's as if he can't quite grasp what's happening. Or to accept it. After a few moments, he notices Gen there. He flinches away from her, and just stares, as if he expects her to attack.
She stands in reserved shock, looking at the tent around her, then at Thor, then at the generals watching them. There at a meeting, and a map sits before them on a wood table, sturdy and built from asgardian wood. Asgard... What is this? Where are they? How they Hel had they gotten here? And Thor? How did he escape Mephisto. Speaking of, had he orchestrated all this? Was this another one of her nightmares? So many questions rush through her head and no satisfying answers."My...Lords?" Says one of the men at the table, and Gen turns to look at him. She hadn't noticed before but they too share a stunned expression, like they could not believe what was before them. She swallows, and pushes aside her worries.
"Where... are we?" she starts, hoping someone might be helpful enough to answer.
I... I do not understand. What have I done to you, it has been months since last we saw each other, much less spoken. I am trying to save you... *her voice breaks* What has that devil done to you?
Make muse cry: "I wish to have nothing to do with you or your kind. Come near me again and you will watch as I destroy everything you have ever loved." ((Is it really Thor? Is he controlled? So many mysteries!))
His words completely take her by surprise as if he had suddenly backhanded her. The wounds that had been left by Marvel are still very raw, and now another man that she had loved to some degree was cutting all ties to her. As far as she knew, she hadn't done anything to deserve it either.
"You wouldn't be the first to try." she says bitterly, ignoring the hitch in her breath and the crack in her voice. "So go ahead. Let's see what you've got." A couple tears sneak past her defenses, but she's quick to wipe them away.
