[Tavian is going to make it as a thief if it’s the last thing he does. He’s had a handful of disasters so far, but somehow every one still resulted in him getting the money, so...(his run in with Charlie taking place sometime in the future)
Obviously the thing that keeps going wrong is he’s just not running fast enough. So rather than trying to be MORE subtle or careful, Tavian RAN down the street weaving through a crowd and snatched a purse off somebody’s arm. He ran as fast as his legs would take him, darting around a corner and then slowing only slightly to root through the bag and try to find the cash. That meant he wasn’t paying NEARLy enough attention to where he was going, running and chucking the rest of the bag to the ground behind him when he’d scored cash out of the wallet.
He might just crash straight into the next person in his path.]
