Meowdy! Coming in here after finding jadegarden on accident to say. You've made me explode (good way!!! good thing I prommy!!!)

A bit of preamble I will share s'that for the longest time since finishing original homestuck I've been struck with what I've been dubbing as "nights where I think about Jade Harley way too hard" and then explode (metaphorically of course) and it makes sense! She was a deeply influential character to young me! (My first considered "kin" after all) and even though I've grown out of that a bit it does always feel like a part of me's sitting with that lonely girl in her tower. And I thinks that's why I get those nights. Nights of thinking about the character too much and then exploding !!

I was having one of those when I found jadegarden. I've seen a lot of fan material of course but something about it made me need to check it out (I think it may have had soemthing to do with the cover art? Or maybe just the feeling that. Oh this person understands Jade Harley (which I feel not a lot of people end up doing) but I digress)

So I read it. And I think it truly settled something in me. Or. If not settled, started laying out the path for soemthing to settle (the fact that I'm even sending you this ask is proof enough I think! Usually aftwr something like this I tend to get a little verbose and more than willing to throw a bit of social convention to the winds for the common bid for connection across the void (internet)

Soooo I guess I just wanted to say really. Thank you. Thank you for making a piece of art that felt like it took the hand of younger me and went it's okay. That grabbed me right out of the (honestly kindve silly) spiral I was getting myself in emotionally and led me back to ground. Thank you for making (and choosing to share!!!) something that I'll probably carry with me for a while yet. And THANK YOU!!!! For making something in character about Jade Harley!!!

This message is probably a little weird and definitely to sentimental to be sending to a virtual stranger but. Idk it felt right in the moment to let you know how this. Affected me I guess (and in the morning I'll probably regret it after remembering how to interact with people again) so feel free to just. Ignore this or delete it at your leisure!!

All in all just. Thanks for making Jadegarden and for making a (former!) lonely little girl feel seen :o3

ah, thank you so much!!!!! i really appreciate your long message <333 it means the world to me to know how jadegarden has impacted people. making it brought a level of catharsis to me as well, so i'm glad it can bring that to others who can identify with some of the stuff jade goes through <3

Hi I loved JADEGARDEN, Jade was my favorite characters of all time as a kid. I kept having to stop while I was reading it b/c I was crying so hard, some parts hit pretty close to home haha. Thank you so much for sharing it💚

Hello. I read Jadegarden when it released and kept up with it until it finished, and it was by far one of the best pieces of fanmade material I've ever seen. Thank you for writing it, it was genuinely beautiful and your art alongside it by far made it even more glorious.
