Gruff's Rocking Birthday Tribute 2024

Belated Happy Birthday to Gruff! 🥳🐐🎂🎉

Gruff is my most favorite villager from the Animal Crossing franchise, since I started playing my first Animal Crossing game. Gruff is a sophisticated musician and artist who loves rock music and dark, edgy aesthetic. So the best way to show my love and appreciation for him is to feature him performing in a rock concert.

I know Gruff's birthday was last August 29, which means I'm 2 weeks late to post this. The animation was put on hold several times due to work, the ongoing renovation of our home, errands needed to be done and problems piled up along the way that needed to be resolved. But despite the hindrances, I'm glad I was able to finish this animation, it's better than not having it done at all.

I hope you enjoy this short music video! Storyboard, rigging, roughs, animation and effects done by yours truly. It's not as grand as how I wanted it to be but still, I'm very happy with the result and enjoyed the process.

Hopkins Birthday Special 2024

Belated Happy Birthday to Hopkins! 🥳🐰🎂🎉

Hopkins the blue rabbit is the star in my little animated video, he's a character from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a popular social simulation game for Nintendo Switch. He's one of my favorite villagers from the Animal Crossing franchise and what's the best way to show my love and appreciation than to create a cute and sugary-themed animated music video dedicated for him.

Finally finished this within 3 weeks. I know Hopkins' birthday was last March 11 and I'm more than a week late to post this. I was overcome by the deadlines of work that I barely got time to complete this personal animation right away. But better late than never, March is still his birth month so at least I was able to finish this before it ended.

I hope you enjoy this short music video! Storyboard, rigging, roughs, animation and effects done by yours truly. It was an enjoyable experience. 😊

I’m restarting my journey as an artist by posting my artwork here little by little. Please follow my account as I will be putting up details of my personal project here.

I created this fanart as a thank you to those who love and support The Hollow series, and since Kai is my baby boy I decided to draw him first. <3  I see a lot of fanart everywhere and I thought to myself, “Why not make my own?” As one of the animators who worked on this project, this means a lot to me.

Did you know this artwork almost didn’t exist? It has been in limbo for months, I was almost done with it (around June 2018) when my external hard drive (where this file was stored) was stolen on the 1st day of our transfer of residency. We tried to track down the culprit but to no avail. 

Imagine my devastation, I suffered moderate to severe depression since I have a lot of WIP artworks stored in that device. I have to start from scratch. :(

Then after 4 months, I finally got over my depression and opted to start all over again. 

I feel so sick, but that won’t stop me from working on my delayed WIP artworks.
