being free of the tiny jail he had been dragged into was more welcome than he wanted to admit. it was also something talon never thought he would be seeing anytime in his life. no matter how long it was. the sirens truly terrible years were mostly behind them. there was once a trail of bodies no matter where he went for people to follow. that had long since laid to rest and now it was perhaps only a few here and there. well hidden. carefully taken apart and most certainly prepared as food for him.

but all of those thoughts were for another day. talon had decided to finally pull out his alibi to make sure he was out in time for pride. part of the delay was curiosity for the system and simple boredom. it was different then every other day. but pride celebrations were something he could always get behind. a lot of human shit still didn't make sense but pride, that shit did. so much so that he made sure to dress as scandalously as possible. shorts that were incredibly short, showing off his leanly muscles thighs. no shirt in sight, allowing his gills to be easily seen as well. he wasn't ashamed of being someone that would fuck anyone he felt like. also, wasn't bothered by being a siren and anytime he could force it down someone's throat to deal it, it pleased him. all of that being said, there was one mission he had right out the gate on the day. he had to find cherry. he was sure she would have been worried about him. after there... night together. could it have been a date? he knew humans were particular about that but he didn't truly know how dates worked. still, he hoped to ease her whatever worry she may have been holding. which was why he had been hunting for her all morning. when he finally caught sight of her, it was with sammy in toe. sneaking up was pretty easy with the people around. holding a finger up and a wink towards the little one got a grin in return and a nod before he swiftly moved and wrapped his arms around her from behind. gently bringing her against him with a smile on his face, "i hope you didn't miss me too much," he spoke softly in her ear as he practically hugged her from behind.

hiding behind a pair of sunglasses, haeun looked around at the gathered people. quietly, she had to wonder if it was unethical to be participating in the big scavenger hunt? after all, she was part of the pirate descendants that helped put together the chest that would be given to the winner or winners. but after a moment of thinking like that, she remembered that she was extremely competitive and was willing to crush someone’s spirit to win. so, there she was carefully studying her clues when she caught sight of one of her cousins out of the corner of her eyes. now, it wasn’t like she only had one or two. she had a few when it came to those related to the captain but actually seeing yeongi out in the light and not looking like batman was… a rare thing. especially after their uncle’s death. he was a firm believer that their uncle was a fucking saint. haeun couldn’t help but think he was an idiot. an angry idiot. sure, she knew he didn’t deserve death but he wasn’t perfect. none of them were. it wasn’t like she was going to share any findings from her end when it came to digging into things herself. most of the pirate cousins were out of their damn minds over it all. still, “holy shit, you come out during the day.” she called out to yeongi, not really moving closer to him but watching him anyway. “i thought you had gone nocturnal…”

Welcome to Hanjeong’s Annual Pride Festival!

In the spirit of celebrating diversity and inclusivity, the inhabitants of Hanjeong come together for the annual Pride Festival. This week-long event is filled with a series of activities, games, and performances that promote acceptance and support for the LGBTQ+ community on the island.

In-Game Dates: June 4th - 10th Event Length: June 3rd 12:00 AM CST - June 16th 11:59 PM CST

Feel free to participate in as many or as few of the activities as you’d like or create one of your own in honor of the event!

The Pride Festival is a time for the inhabitants of Hanjeong to come together in solidarity and support for the LGBTQ+ community. It is a reminder that everyone, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. It is also a great time to remind people how lucky they are to be living in a tolerant place like Hanjeong. The Pride Festival is composed of several events.

Open Throughout the Entire Festival:

Rainbow Market: A marketplace where vendors sell items with rainbow themes, such as t-shirts, flags, hats, and jewelry. Local queer authors and artists will also be selling their works.

Location: Town Square

Queer Movie Nights: A series of movies with LGBTQ+ themes are screened and are followed by a discussion panel.

Location: Movies on the Mountain

Day 1: Opening Parade

The festival kicks off with a parade through the streets of the city. Representatives from all three factions, dressed in colorful costumes, march together to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Merfolk throw rainbow-colored bubbles into the air, while humans and nymphs wave flags and distribute flowers (particularly water lilies) to the crowd.

Day 2: Drag Shows and Lip Synch Performances

A lively performance featuring drag queens and kings from the town, who put on a fabulous show with their elaborate costumes and performances. Features both ballroom and lip synch performances. Some performers particularly enjoy playing historical figures from Hanjeong's history, particularly pirates.

Day 3: Beach Party

A fun day at the beach, complete with music, games, and water sports. The beach is decorated with colorful rainbow flags and other assorted items. The evening ends with a massive bonfire.

Day 4: Open Mic Night

A night of music, poetry, and comedy, featuring LGBTQ+ performers from the island. Everyone is welcome to come and perform or simply enjoy the show.

Location: Triton’s Horn

Day 5: Charity Run 

This event begins in the morning. The event is organized to raise funds for a local cause. All proceeds this year will be going to the Hanjeong Heritage’s Center new exhibit for an iconic pair of queer lovers in Hanjeong’s history. All people who complete the event will be treated to a meal at the Cozy Cottage.

Location: The East Side Park & The Cozy Cottage

Day 6: Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is held throughout the island where participants must solve riddles and complete tasks to find hidden treasures. This year, the winners will receive an entire pirate chest donated by the merfolk and pirate descendants.

Location: All of Main Hanjeong

Day 7: Candlelight Vigil

A solemn event to remember those who have lost their lives due to discrimination and violence against the LGBTQ+ community.  It is usually hosted by several religious leaders in the various communities. It is one of the few events merfolk play instruments while sirens sing solemn songs.
