I’m not sure what to type here, but yeah. I was kind of inspired by Kaia and her blog. I kind of look up to her because I have anxiety as well. So, I guess I haven’t really written anything down like a blog blog in a very long time.
Ever since I got back from S.Korea, I’ve been feeling a little lost. Well, not entirely. There is a certain direction where I would like to take my life, but I’m not sure how I am able to go about that. For example, Becca told me about a Teaching English Abroad in Spain thingy. I really want to do it, but my little problem is the money part. I don’t want to have to rely on my parents to pay for my plane ticket (and they really shouldn’t have to now). Money’s really tight right now-- my parents paid for everything for my Korea trip (this was two years in a row now), they helped me pay for schooling, my mom attended my cousin’s wedding in Seattle, then went with her siblings to Vancouver. In addition to all that, my parents will be going to the Philippines in Janurary, and my brother is still in school. There’s a lot of money right there, and I want to be able to actually do this part myself.
I have also really thought about what would be my next step after Spain. Well, for one thing, I really need to get myself a job. Second, I need to really get myself TEFL/TESOL certified. I think that’s one of the main priorities. Coz if I’m certified for those things, I can teach English as a Foreign Language anywhere. I could travel and teach for like...a really long time. And then settle back down in the US.
It’s all in my head, I just need to execute it. I want to do all of this while I’m still young.
And I also want my family to constantly ask “Where in the world is she?”
There’s a lot I want to do. So much.
