btw i am extremely aware that snakes don't have eyelids and can't blink or squint or what have you it's just that when you have a cartoon creature you are supposed to relate and empathise with it is very extremely useful to make said creature emote like a person idc if it breaks biology, the snake can talk too but nobody is bothered about that

Had my first day of in-service yesterday and idk if its getting older or if last year was more difficult for unknown reasons, but my brain is not in it. Maybe that'll change this week as I get back into it, but my hopes remain low.

Isn't it lovely when your business partners are rude, arrogant, full of themselves, and the second they realize they were wrong, they come up with thirty different ways to justify themselves instead of using one breath to say sorry? I'm not even asking for "Sorry, I was wrong, and I got worked up." Just "Sorry" would do.

And then a candidate who really needs a job and has been looking for work for a long time somehow still has enough grace to reply, "Thank you for a thoughtful response. I really appreciate it, even though I didn't get the job."

And that's one of the reasons I haven't played or posted in a hundred years. After dealing with this kind of shit every day, my brain is just completely fried, and I want to be a lighthouse keeper on some remote island... 🫠
