“i find it really hard to describe hana at times. she’s... been my longest friend, i’m sure. seven years. i don’t make friends easily, it’s hard for me to, um... click? with people. most of the time, i find them annoying. and usually, the feelings are mutual. so, yeah. the first few weeks of me movin’ in and adjusting to everything was hard, but hana made things easier. at first, i thought we wouldn’t get along, ‘cause we were kinda... similar, i suppose. we did, though. get along, i mean. and if i hadn’t met her i would’ve given up on being ‘independent’ and moved back to brooklyn. she’s a loyal friend. doesn’t tolerate bullshit. isn’t afraid to call people out when needed. recently, i haven’t been the greatest... friend, but i love her. i genuinely love her. i’m happy i met her.”

—   ❛   I ran into Hana today.   I guess she’s Nico’s neighbor.   It was the worst.   I think I was mean,   but it was so surprising to see her that I automatically reverted back to the last strong emotion I’d had about her.   She seems like she’s doing better now,   I felt so stupid about how I was acting towards her while it was clear she was trying to talk to me,   but I just couldn’t stop remembering how I felt back then.   It’s so dumb.   I know she was going through something,   like,   I would’ve been blind not to see her self-destruction,   but I still overreacted to the whole thing and I’m still doing it.   I guess I don’t know how to be wounded by other people,   I always want to cut them off completely.   With Hana,    though...   I’ve missed her since she pushed me away.   I don’t know what to do with that.   ❜
