influencers are supposed to influence what people buy, how they buy the things they promote, and so on. they do so by appealing to audiences as authentic, as “one of them.” they can promote both goods and services. they can do reviews, or post simple photos up to instagram w/ the product/service in the photo- there’s all sorts of ways they promote what they advertise.

beauty gurus are some of the more renowned influencers. they try to promote the consumption of beauty goods, ranging from vitamins to skin care products. because of their dominant position as an advertiser of sorts in the beauty world, they heavily *influence* what audiences buy, so they’re in hot demand for item promotions.

Tales of Akihiko, never played it, what's the story like?

Tales of Akihiko is a combination role-playing and boxing simulation video game developed by Atlus, in collaboration with Bandai Namco Studio. Bandai Namco has given Tales of Akihiko the characteristic genre name To Know the Meaning of One’s Training RPG.

In Tales of Akihiko, the player takes the role of a third year high school student named Akihiko Sanada. Motivated by the loss of his younger sister, he has vowed to battle various enemies in order to reach the pinnacle of strength.

By utilizing the game’s “Flex Range Punching Motion Battle System”, one can control his actions by means of a special sensor that comes with each purchase of the game. With the game’s motion sensor, the player can perform various punches to be executed by the character on-screen. Training points (TP) is depleted after a certain amount of rounds, and these are restored after a set amount of time and by using items such as “Protein Powder” and “Beef Bowl”.

No sequel has been announced at the moment, but rumors are flying around about the possibility of a spin-off title named Tales of Akihiko: Did You See That Shinji, where one establishes rapport with the main character’s dead best friend by shouting a certain stock phrase after each battle.
