Mr & Mrs Smith ; Hana & Himchan
One week. That was how long the cruise was and the time they’d get to place a tracker onto the boss of an ongoing drugs traffic around the cruise boat -- Easy. Nothing he had not done before. The only ( but considerably ) huge issue for Himchan was that he wasn’t alone this time; of course there were other agents scattered all over the boat playing their parts but he had to be the one assimilated with an other agent to easily infiltrate the “normal” people who came to relax and have fun during the cruise without an ounce of doubt about what was truly going on. Now Himchan wasn’t the last one to volunteer when it came to play someone else - it was part of his job, as a raven, to be able to transform into someone else, to put on a mask for a couple of hours, days or even weeks. And he was great at it, it was all fun to pretend to be someone else, to invent himself a life, a personality - flaws and qualities he wouldn’t allow himself to have as just Himchan. One day he could be an easy-going young man working at a cafe and the next one, a rich heir who only cares about money and anything luxurious. Himchan did it, and he did it perfectly.
It was another story when he had to work with someone else. He was better off-alone, he knew his capacities and skills but to have to rely on another agent and work with them, it irritated him to no end -- he had to adapt himself, to think about the consequences, to think for two and not only for himself; at the end of the day, he was as exhausted as if he had run a marathon. There were also double information to deal with and it was not unusual that he got headaches - it was one of the cons of having this over-developed Eidetic memory, headaches came too easily. With a sigh, he looked at himself through the mirror of the little bathroom of their suite ( suite was a big word when it was on a boat ), popped a painkiller into his mouth for prevention and straightened the comfortable grey knit sweater he was wearing - he didn’t know who the hell left in October for their honeymoon but apparently, it was the best option the agency had came up with. The boat had yet to leave Incheon and the first few days would only be used as recognition and getting used of the limited space they were given to act within. He couldn’t deny that there was a bit of excitement starting to appear at the sole thought of having nowhere to escape to if they ever got caught -- which wasn’t going to happen anyway but he reminded himself that it could and throwing themselves out in the ocean wasn’t an option. They’d have to look like the couple the most in love ever and play their part perfectly or else, the mission would fail and that, too, wasn’t a possibility.
He tapped his wedding ring - that was definitely one of the strangest item he had to wear - and snorted to himself before he walked out of the bathroom and looked over at his one-week long wife. “Well, ready to catch the bad guys, honey?”
