A wholesome pattern to start the day.
We leave Africa now and travel to Asia, to a creature that has fascinated man for ages. Among the forests of Cambodia, the plains of India, and the city streets of Bangkok, we find our next beast: the asian elephant.
Playing around a bit with gouache, as I've really been missing that flat, graphic color in my illustrations lately. First up, a little pattern based on the windows and architecture of Luang Prabang, Laos.
And on the topic of patterns, here's a new one: Palm Grove. I was inspired by the beautiful spring weather we're enjoying in Los Angeles, the date palms outside the LA zoo, and the palm lined boulevards of Pasadena.
