Here’s the item I was after when playing this Ichiban Kuji - the Star Wand Handheld Mirror! It’s so pretty! I still can’t believe that it is real and in my room and mine and everything...
So in case you are looking for it and looking at the usual online price of 60-70$ and wondering if it is worth it... Well, it is very cute, and pretty, and well made, but it is also plastic and it shows. Very toy-like. Very very TOY-like. And lightweight. I like it that way, but also I haven’t bought almost anything from CCS’ anniversary and I haven’t paid that much. Unless having it is a matter of life or death, I can’t recommend paying more than, let’s say, 40€, given its rarity.
Now, about the item itself, it is very detailed, everything is molded on both sides and the colours are so nice. It is made of plastic and it does look like plastic - it is very obvious and doesn’t even try to pretend otherwise. It is also very lightweight. Overall, it feels like a cute toy.
They could have tried a mature, elegant style, but this toy-like style feels truer to the original series, like something from the company of Tomoyo’s mother.
The star is the most eye-catching part of the whole item, and deservingly so - it is even more lovely than the picture! The wings are adorable, too, I love them!
The size is very nice - big enough to feel special, but small enough to be usable. The handle fits my whole hand, but I’m quite small myself, so it might be less comfortable for other people. The mirror itself is very small, pretty much the size of that of a big compact. It comes protected by both a sticker and the bubblewrap:
