Louis answered with a fine eye-roll when Harry's comeback to Louis calling him an idiot was to state that he was proud to carry that title. It was such a HARRY thing to do. Honestly - Louis should have expected it since she had years upon years of experiece about the ways Harry acted in certain situations and what he usually responded when he was in a certain mood. Louis was a fucking expect when it came to figuring Harry out. The blue-eyed girl was thankful to her best friend when all he said was "okay" because that finalized it and they wouldn't continue with the subject anymore. It was better that way. Louis didn't like talking about her insecuritiesor doubts in the broad daylight or frankly at all. Who even liked admitting or talking about something that when it was bright and you could actually make proper eye-contact with someone else? Louis sure hated it, even if it was Harry she was talking with. The almost a smile he offered after the simple phrase softened his expression a lot and honestly, it made the whole athosphere feel more comfortable. "Maybe I just need some practise. They're a positive thing yes, just- yeah. Not a big deal, thank you", Louis said and smiled back at Harry a litte while looking up to him. She had almost automatically said "you know" at the end but caught herself at the last second because Harry didn’t know. It was about Tony, how he sometimes made her feel so of course Harry didn't know. Louis mostly kept her relationship from Harry because yeah. It just felt like she shouldn't dwekk in that with the curly-haired lad. She knew she could turn to her best friend with about anything but just not this. It was just going to lead them to the same conversations over again, the same as when it came down to the subject of money. Louis knew Harry wasn't really judging and thingking she had lost her mind as he looked like. Harry knew hos she was, how she got excites about weird little stuff and how competitive she was. He especially knew it was hard for her to feel proud of herself. Also, Harry was the most unjudging person ever and he accepted everyone as they were no matter what shape or colour they came as. Louis beamed really widely and proudly when Harry clapped after she figured out the song. She knew he was quite amused by the look on his face but she didn't care. It was Harry so of course he was laughing at her. The way he was smirking after telling "good job" was really nothing new between the two of them. This all was so familiar, so natural for them and it was the most comforting thing ever. She didn't add anything to that anymore, her wide smile being enough of an answer, as she figured. "Exactly", Louis' smile was turning in to a fond one without her permission. It was clear in Harry's tone and gentle smile how he wasn't just joking around anymore. They had unintetionally once again brought up a more serious topic in the middle of all the bantering. The eldest of the Tomlinson sibling clan had a very amused espression on her face and she was openly laughing when Harry was acting like the dork he was. It just was funny how he was so dramatic and feeling up hhis own ass and confessing how embarrassed he was about his perfomance at the VMA's once. By doing that he managed to bring up a thing that Louis had endlessly teased him about for months. Talk about a willing victim. "You definitely should be feeling embarrassed. Like, that was one pathetic excuse of twerking that you did on live television. What kind of an idiot does that to themselves and willingly?" Louis was teasing, she was in her second nature. Harry was indeed very screwed because now that he reminded Louis she could laugh at him now every time she saw his face. Splendid. "You do that, I'll be over here laughing at you", she added, laughing through her words, remembering the sight of a nineteen-year-old Harry twerking in front of thousands of people. Louis just felt really really safe. Harry had always been able to get that feeling out of her just by hugging her close to him and breathing deeply while Louis buried her face in his chest. He really was great at giving hugs and Louis was just so thankful of her best friend. He knew exactly what she needed and in that moment it was him keeping Louis tightly close to him and rubbing her back. It was the gesture that Louis needed to feel somewhat alright again, to motivate her so she'd believe that everything would be okay. Luckily Harry was good at making her feel like that. She smiled softly against Harry's chest when he used a petname on her, no matter how familiar that was between them. It most of time made her smile on some level. It was just a thing like that. It didn't really mean anything but made her feel like that either way. The soft rocking back and forth also made her feel really young but in a way it was good. It was nice to just not pretend like she was an actual adult and that she was expected to have everything figured out by now somehow. He was twenty-one after all so legally adult in America too so practically an adult and no going back anymore. "Yeah", was her quiet response to the comment about everything getting sorted out some way or another. It was kind of cliche and in every damn movie everyone said "it's going to be alright" and all but that's what she needed. She needed her best friend to believe that everything would get sorted out. Louis almost whined when Harry pulled back because he was warm and solid and she needed him but luckily she was able to keep her mouth shut. Her eyes found their way into Harry's when his hands appeared on her cheeks again and he was looking straight into her eyes. His gace was comforting, reassuring and calm and it was Harry fod crying out loud. He was actually there and not somewhere around the world like usually. He was actually back home. Louis listened his words and couldn't help the giggle that escaped out of her when Harry poked her nose. Yeah, there was no point to dwell on this forever. They had time for all that crap later. They should enjoy each other's company and just do something that was them, something that was fun and random and yeah. "Yeah, I'd love that", she said not that much more loudly thatn before but it wasn't a whisper either. She had a small smile on her lips and she just looked at Harry for a few seconds before leaned forward to squeeze him tightly once more and kissed his earlobe as saying thank you once again seemed a bit hollow. She said that line way too much already. So the small peck would do. Then she broke out of the hug and reached out to take the plate that had her breakfast on it and took it in her hand, continuing his eating that was interrupted by their moment. It happened sometimes. She was still smiling and felt like she probably couldn't stop for a while. Taking a bit of the food on the fork she raised her hand and offered it up to Harry, putting the cutlery close to his lips and waiting for him to open his mouth. "We could go to the park and play football. I haven't played in a while, it could be quite fun since you're still not getting better at it", she was gently teasing, not really back to her sharp tingue and sassy words yet. She'd get there but this more relaxed, lazily comfortable mood was good for a while. She was loud and energetic and jumping all over the place enough time either way so it was good to be calm for a while at least.
