These homemade Apple Cider Donuts Handmademood are a perfect fall treat. They are moist, flavorful, and coated with a sweet cinnamon sugar mixture. The apple cider glaze adds an extra burst of apple flavor that makes them irresistible.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 1 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. 1/2 cup apple cider. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/4 cup plain yogurt. 1 large egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 1 tsp ground cinnamon for coating. 1/4 cup apple cider for glaze.
Instructions: All-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg, and 1 tsp ground cinnamon should all be combined in a large mixing bowl. Mix the plain yogurt, egg, vanilla extract, melted unsalted butter, and 1/2 cup apple cider in a separate bowl. Mixing until just combined, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Preheat 350F 175C vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large deep pan. Dough spoonfuls should be fried for two to three minutes on each side, or until golden brown, in the hot oil. Take care not to pack the pan too full. Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried donuts and set them on a plate covered with paper towels to absorb any remaining oil. Mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp ground cinnamon together in a small bowl. Coat each donut uniformly by rolling it in this mixture. To make a glaze, combine 1/4 cup apple cider and any leftover powdered sugar mixture in a separate small bowl. Over the donuts, drizzle the apple cider glaze. While still warm, serve and savor the delectable Apple Cider Donuts Handmademood!
