If Kise had acted a few seconds sooner, he would have been the one to initiate it, but on and off the court Aomine just always seemed to be a little faster. He felt oddly surprised at the kiss, but after a beat of no response he smiled into the kiss before returning it, softly at first then with more enthusiasm, his eyes closing and arms looping around Aomine’s neck to pull him closer.
Opening his eyes he nipped Aomine’s bottom lip playfully before pulling back with a grin. “Happy New Year, Aominecchi.”

He's got the rest of the day off. Today was a Hogsmeade trip, and as Ted hadn't been sleeping well, he figured he'd snooze a little on his couch in his office, grade a couple of essays, and then go down to Madame Rosmerta's for a pint or two. So, snuggled up next to his dog, Merlin, Teddy snoozes.
