Oh god I was listening to that all through my month-long post s3 finale manic flight thingie, to balance things out, and it was weird switching mid-cry between two-operatic-fictional-idiots pain and real-boy-with-mother-thing-and-now-she’s-dead pain
Aahhhh! That’s a lot of emotion for one stretch of time! I’m impressed at your trapezing ability; I need adjacency, I have to slip’n slide from one Emotional Thing into another Emotional Thing, otherwise I’ll just bounce off. Here that slide was called “Mystery Of Love”

So glad you are listening to C&L, now try The Greatest Gift, remixes and four new songs, Sufjan is the best for feels. ❤️
Because I am the worst at music, I fell in love with a handful of Sufjan Stevens songs 10 years ago, but am only just now listening to the rest of the albums they came from. [covers my face with my hands]
[still hiding behind them:] So I have this past week listened to the whole of:
Carrie & Lowell
Carrie & Lowell again, and again
Age of Adz
Michigan
Seven Swans
Illinois
The Avalanche
The Greatest Gift
Carrie & Lowell some more
the day where I just kept repeating “The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out To Get Us!”
and presently: Planetarium
