Got anything on Satori?

One of the reasons Satori doesn’t like leaving home is that Former Hell’s capital reminds her of the time she used to spend with Koishi before she closed her third eye. Her only companion when she visits town now are the fearful thoughts of the locals. Nowadays, walking the streets of Former Hell (haha) just makes her feel lonely, bitterly nostalgic and regretful more than anything else, so she doesn’t enjoy it like she used to.

I couldn't help noticing that Hammer Shield's cutie mark is the Marathon logo. I'd love to hear the story behind that one. ouo

In my design of Hammer Shield (an OC in my incredibly slowly-written fic), I needed to come up with a decent cutie mark.  As the fic is about a pony grifball team, it made sense to find a Halo-related mark.  I decided on the Marathon symbol since I could argue that the outer circle is representative of a shield and the inner circle (and vertical line) are a head-on view of a hammer.  As for the actual image (used in General Zoi’s Pony Creator), I took the symbol from a collection made available on HBO ages ago.

When writing, I always tend to be bad at coming up with names.  In ponysona terms, that translates to cutie marks (pony names are easy, comparatively, since they tend to be phrases or compound nouns).  Incidentally, I never quite figured out the marks for the other characters in the fic though they all have rather detailed backstories and distinct personalities.

Speaking of MADDs, I'm working on a Let's Play of Marathon 1 with a couple of friends as co-commentators, and on a failed run of The Rose, a Hulk punched a MADD toward me and it blew up in my face, one-shotting me from full health. My friend has since dubbed them 'Mutually Assured Destruction Drones.'

I’m not sure what else you could call ‘em after an incident like that. XD;

Indeed. XD Maybe old habits die hard, or perhaps mouselook wasn’t always as precise as it usually is now or something.

My first serious attempt at the Battle Maison was made with a team consisting of a Metagross named Durandal, a Garchomp named Boomer, and a Hydreigon named Rozinante. Sadly they barely got further than any of my previous attempts.

Ah. XD; Well, those are some fitting names, at least.
