Rant: Korean textbooks on Kindle
I wanted to try buying a Korean textbook for my Kindle app and was really pumped up but, unlike the preview on Amazon webpage, Kindle version for Android has some scribbly handwritten Hangul font which is difficult to read and completely unsuitable for any book, let alone a textbook.
The book is mostly written in English but the Korean parts are so jarring (I tried changing the fonts but only Latin script is affected).
I checked a few other books and all of them had this issue so it must be Amazon-wide problem and not the particular book's fault.
Customer service was really polite but it took so long to explain to them what the issue is. They kept thinking I wanted to change the app interface language. In the end they kind of got it, and even reimbursed me for the time I wasted talking to them,
It's only been 3 days but you know when you get excited about a new book and then you have to wait (I might be slightly addicted to books)
