he hadn't expected to wake up on the floor nor to the sound of his granddaughter's voice. "you're gonna have to repeat some of that, cassie. i'm a little out of it this morning." he rubbed his face before slowly going to sit on the couch. perhaps he had overdone it on the alcohol the night before. "are we talking about kang or is there another problem you've discovered?"

"stark, you really don't want to push me right now." hank was on a coffee run before going back to the lab to work on the suit. since scott wouldn't loan him the antman one he decided to build another. he had to take care of kang and janet before hope or cassie got hurt. unlike scott he was expendable. hope would be just fine without him and cassie... well she'd hurt for a while but she'd be okay. no the situation with janet and kang had made his temper trigger much easier and if there was anyone who could wind him up it was tony stark. "don't you have a child to stalk or wife to pester?"

Hank barely held back the urge to roll his eyes. “You really want to have this conversation, Janet? If we talk about Regina then your precious Nathaniel comes up too. I know you’re still talking to him.” Was he being a bit hypocritical? Perhaps. “We’ve been apart longer than we’ve been married. We’re hardly the same people we were when we said our vows. Perhaps… perhaps it ended when you went to the quantum realm.”

"and i think this is a conversation you need to have with her." hank had spent enough time in the dog house with hope. he did not need to end up back there again because janet was digging for information. if she wanted to know so badly about hope she could ask their daughter herself. "i don't want to speak for hope. we're finally in a good place again and i'm not going to risk that because of your suspicions. so she may be acting a little differently than when you last saw her? big deal. she's been through a lot. we both have here. i doubt i'm the same either."

"and what one thing would you like to make different hope?" hank asked, crossing his arms. he was about as angry to see her as he expected she was to see him. if he was disappointed in her when she killed kang well that was nothing compared to how he felt now. "would it be something from your childhood? janet going subatomic? being sent to boarding school? or maybe something more recent? i can think of a few things i wish had happened differently." @lcvenderhcze

“...ah thank you but i’m good.  i already have a drink.  why don’t you go take it to that nice looking gentleman over there,” hank said pointing the person in the direction of someone else with an orange or pink bracelet.  after the third or fourth time this had happened he had given up hope of being left alone for the rest of the night.  currently he was trying to get the bracelet off but it seemed untearable.  “what did they make these things out of? kevlar?”  { @walstarterblog​ }

“you don’t start shit yet you’re the one trying to buy out my foundation.  i’d say you started the negative relationship between the two companies.” what was the use pretending not to be involved with the foundation? he had nothing to do with stark anymore and the lies could only last so long.  it was obvious kang had been suspicious the last time they spoke so why bother? it was too much effort to try and keep up with the false memories.  “i’ll tell you what i told the last person who tried to buy the particle from me: it’s not for sale.  you want to use it an invention of some kind we can talk about it.  i am not handing it over so you can replicate and do god knows what with it.”

"wrong company." hank commented not even looking up from his phone at the sound of kang's voice. "you're looking for stark industries. that's about five blocks north and two east from here. nice to know you can't tell us apart. i'll let hope know the suits are starting to look a bit iron man ish."
