This is a Wahl Hanlin Design gold filled medium size clip fountain pen c. 1921-1924. The Hanlin Design combined machine and hand engraved work and was offered from 1921 to 1924. Hanlin is a variation of the Ribbon Design, done in panels, with hand engraving done in the remaining blank panels. This 4 15/16 inch long pen is the medium size slender model with a 14 karat gold Number 2 size nib. The Hanlin Design appears in the 1921 through 1924 catalog only on solid gold pens. This may be an off catalog pen. The barrel has a rectangular blank in one of the machine engraved panels.
